Today's movie was Badlands (1974)

It was a pretty fun ride, i do love old movies especially 70s movies, you get to see what the world looked like back then, like the cars they were driving, those were some cool looking cars, and the helicopter looked dope as hell too. about the movie, i had no idea what it would be about and i still don't understand what genre this would be, just a dude going around committing crimes while it being narrated by his underaged girlfriend. not sure what you would class that under. that's not to say i didn't like the movie, i really enjoyed it, it was cute. Being on the run from the police is probably super exhausting, they make it impossible for you to start over when you're wanted, i kinda imagined it would have been easier to get away with a murder in the 70s but that's probably not true, it was probably just a little less difficult than it is now. Crazy how in the 70s you could just approach a father as a grown man and confess that you want his underaged daughter and they didn't just attempt to murder you, things sure have changed, and one of the first scenes of the movie when the main character approaches the girl playing in her front yard really made me think about how different things are now. no one plays outside or does shit outside and even if they did, it would be weird if some random person off the street just came up and introduced themselves to try and hang out with you on a whim. i can imagine how that must have been normal in the 70s when to meet people you had to approach at any time, makes me wish we still had that luxury.

anyways i rate this movie 3.5 out of 5
