I wish I could enjoy reading as much as I did when I was a kid, but my life has made me so dysfunctional that I find all the characters in the vast majority of books to not be relatable or appealing, and their supposedly inspiring/nail-biting/interesting stories to be negative-emotion inducing. The only books I like anymore are those about misery, because those can be intellectually interesting and emotionally cathartic. But it has to be some specific version of misery that for whatever reason happens to resonate with me. Like Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky or Whatever by Houellebecq.

That particular poster spams them often, like this thread. They do it so much since they stay up for days just spamming the same threads.
