Whenever I wipe my anus with toilet paper, it hurts a lot and there's blood on the paper. Wiping my anus is one of my most painful daily experiences.

GPT:
Hemorrhoids (also spelled haemorrhoids) are swollen and inflamed veins in the lower rectum or anus. They develop when increased pressure causes these veins to stretch, often from straining during bowel movements, chronic constipation or diarrhea, prolonged sitting, pregnancy, or obesity.

There are two main types:

Internal hemorrhoids, which form inside the rectum and usually are painless but may cause bleeding.

External hemorrhoids, which form under the skin around the anus and can be painful, itchy, or swollen.

Symptoms may include bleeding during bowel movements, discomfort, itching, or a lump near the anus.

But how do I cure hemorrhoids?
>>

I thing that needs surgery.

I'm not going to waste my money and time having surgery. In my country, there's free public healthcare, but it's of very poor quality and service. My anus itches a lot, it hurts, and there's blood when I wipe with toilet paper, but I can live with that.

Wash your asscrack. Shower every time after you take a shit if you need to.
Install a bidet. Keep a squeeze bottle of water (or diluted witch hazel, if you wanna be fancy) near the toilet.
Eat more fiber.

They are managed depending on where they are. If they are not completely external, such as entirely internal or protruding from inside, then they can shrink and no longer bother you if you make changes that ensure frequent bowel movements that are soft.

I manage this with drinking lots of water and upping veggies, but the main point of healing for me (a process of going from heavy bleeding, to non-bleeding swollen haemorrhoids, to unnoticeable shrunken haemorrhoids) came only when I starting exercising again.

>Wash your asscrack
I haven't showered in a month; my record was six months. I don't like showering.
>Eat more fiber.
I fell for the fiber meme about two years ago when I used to go to /fit/ occasionally. At the time, I had started eating oatmeal every day, but I didn't notice any change. Drinking more water is much better and more efficient than increasing the amount of fiber.

Oh I also forgot to mention this >>83835705
I started using the detachable shower head to actually spray the water right up in there after taking a dump, to reduce any irritation to delay or undo healing

>what is sulfasalazine
You don't need surgery. Sulfasalazine is a stupidly cheap drug, usually available over the counter (but if not, it's easy to get prescription for it) that solves at least 70% of your problem.
The rest of 30% you solve it by having a better diet and sitting on a chair a lot less. Do these for a month (and take sulfasalazine once a day at least 2 weeks, preferably 3 or 4) and you'll be fine.
>Drinking more water is much better
Yes, keeping yourself well hydrated also helps a lot.
But seriously, look up sulfasalazine. It's THE drug for this issue. Discovered at Dachau, kek. Literally Nazi science. But it works.

nta but do you feel the hemorrhoid? ie is it on the outside? i've had external hemorrhoids many times. in my case it helps to take long warm showers then lie down and applying light pressure directly on it. i dread the day this doesnt work and i have to show my hairy ass to the doctor

I could only feel it on the outside when it protruded. My issue was for years after that, they seemed to go through a cycle of shrinking through bleeding, then eventually healing with no bleeding for a few weeks while it expanded again, then bled and shrank again.

It took a long time for the cycle to break where it healed and stopped bleeding, expanded, but never bled again and eventually shrank without further rupture or damage.

You should show the doctor your hairy asshole for prostate checks anyway anon. Maybe shave it if you want to treat him/her
