>>83836712it's actually wasei-ego and josei>Open depictions of sexual acts came to be a defining trait of ladies' comics, in contrast to the editorial restrictions still placed on sexual depictions in shojo manga. The manga artist Milk Morizono, renowned for her "porn-chic" stories, emerged as one of the most popular ladies' comics authors of the 1980s. Ladies' comics magazines proliferated rapidly in the latter half of the decade, from eight magazines in 1984, to 19 in 1985, to 48 in 1991.By the 1990s, large commercially published ladies' comics magazines declined as a result of the Lost Decade and corresponding economic crisis, leading to the proliferation of smaller magazines focused on erotic and pornographic content. Consequently, ladies' comics developed a reputation as being "female pornography".>Many josei dramas are realist stories about the lives of ordinary women. These stories are typically focused on a working woman in a given profession, most commonly a housewife, office lady, or pink-collar worker. Narratives typically focus on common personal issues such as dating, childcare, eldercare, beauty standards, workplace issues, marital strife, or adultery. Many also address social issues, such as aging and dementia, prostitution, or violence against women. Josei manga does also feature male protagonists, typically bishonen (literally "beautiful boys", roughly analogous to the Western "pretty boy") who often appear in stories with homoerotic subtext.>Pornographic josei manga shares many common traits with pornographic manga for a heterosexual male audience, though stories are typically written from a female rather than male point of view. Traits common to heterosexual pornography, such as female domination and objectification, similarly recur in pornographic josei manga; a common story formula in josei pornography is one in which a shy and intelligent woman is transformed into a nymphomaniac or a sex slave.
>>83836731petit nicolas is better tho
>>83836760>Josei manga is traditionally printed in dedicated manga magazines which often specialize in a specific subgenre, typically drama, romance, or pornography. While josei dramas are, in most cases, realist stories about the lives of ordinary women, romance josei manga are typically soap opera-influenced melodramas, while pornographic josei manga shares many common traits with pornographic manga for a heterosexual male audience.>Stories are sometimes based on the experiences of readers themselves, who are actively invited to submit stories based on their own life experiences, and receive payment if their submissions are chosen to be adapted into manga. Josei manga magazines often publish special issues dedicated to a specific topic, such as issues devoted to divorce, illnesses, and cosmetic surgery. These topic-based issues occasionally include non-manga columns that provide information about the subjects covered in the issue. Sociologist Kinko Ito considers that josei dramas serve as a form of catharsis for the reader by depicting a character who is enduring greater hardship than they are, while manga scholar Fusami Ogi considers josei dramas as presenting role models and potential ways of life for female readers.>Josei romances typically eschew the realism of josei dramas, instead more closely resembling the heightened melodrama of a soap opera or a Harlequin romance novel. Stories often adhere to common romance novel story formulas, such as a woman who encounters a Prince Charming-like man with whom she embarks on a variety of adventures and ultimately marries. Sexual encounters between the protagonist and their partner are commonplace, while romantic fantasy themes often manifest in the setting (frequently either foreign or historical) or through heroic protagonists (princes and princesses, ghosts, people who possess supernatural abilities, etc.). Variant sexual identities, such as gay and transgender characters, also appear in these narratives.

>>83836856i don't remember much, i had three years of french in elementary school before the budget was cut. we were shoved into full immersion spanish in 5th grade for no reason and i almost completely flunked the class because the teacher would refuse to speak or print anything in english at all, even the wordsheets would have "name" and "date" in spanish and she acted like we were all just being little shits intentionally instead of completely flummoxed as native english speakers whose only other foreign language experience was a bit of early french. varying levels of spanish intensity continued for a while before choosing latin in high school and then spanish again in college for the stupid requirement. ran around saying baka baka baka you're a baka since 2nd grade too having gotten a japanese-to-english dictionary >for free from the remnants of a local yard sale, tried to learn a bit of swedish in 2010ish from an obsession with alexander skaarsgard in true blood/generation kill and viking lore, plus early exposure to norwegian troll tales and scandinavian mythology/folktales meant scandi/northern euro culture was always a tantalizing possibility. tried portugese, esperanto, korean, japanese, italian (for giallo and wine), and greek as well while brushing up on swedish, french, and spanish but that was before duolingo was so nerfed that everything on there is useless.i want to get into more conlags like laadan or try different scripts, learn cyrillic, ancient greek, indo-euro ur-reconstructions, sit down and properly learn the various languages of china, and fun things like icelandic or various north american indigenous langs esp those that are on the verge of dying out.french is always what feels right, though. more so than latin, spanish, or japanese. bet the accent must be horrific for native speakers. god, trying to look up the numerics right now and remembering each time my spanish teachers almost smacked me in the face for doing them in french.

>>83837025i have barely traveled at all actually and never out of the country. the internet lets you learn wonderful things! bad things tend to happen whenever i leave the comfort of my hikikomori hole.i wanted to do something exactly lately that with a conlag actually, something that was constantly filled with triple or more meanings, but it kind of defeats the purpose of language which is theoretically clear communication. creative language, sure. it might be fun to practice on this board, i used to be really good at that but never tried writing something in full that way. if you were going to do that though i don't think english would be a good base. other languages are much better for conveying multiple meanings and ambiguity. arabic is really good at it. but then most double meanings come with language evolution and slang anyway - every latin student's first mistake is to translate "lupa" as "whore" instead of "she-wolf" when translating the story of romulus and remus, because they're both actually correct due to slang usage and a prostitute suckling abandoned twin infants at her breast makes far more sense than shakira shakira. what languages were you interested in when wanting to become a polyglot? that and being a polymath isn't nearly as difficult as people assume it must be. autodidacticism is (or was) the natural processing of internet natives. a process that was aborted intentionally, it seems.

>>83837618oh, forgot american girl dolls. the beds on this one reminded me. there is a massive subculture of american girl doll women, especially ones who build entire sets and furniture for their dolls. they do this a lot with the historical ones of the pre-colonization native american one, the revolutionary and civil war era dolls, the holocaust one, etc. their favorites tend to be the wwii and great depression era ones and they get VERY angry about them all to be retconned to be pink and barbie-ish by matel and discontinued and the fact they do them by generic decades now instead of big historical pivot points or specific subcultures (the feminist 70s hippie and her asian san fran friend are excused from this as is the black 60s motown detroit girl but they hate the generic 50s white one).

>>83837685many women make their boyfriends or crushes in the sims to live out fantasies>>83837700they also do thisway more than sex mods though are the entire legacy challenge people. there used to be these huge things on livejournal where people would try to run themed challenges with enforced rules like "the firstborn has to be the heir no matter how ugly or stupid they are" or "you can never use any electricity or technology produced past 1800" and roleplay through ten or more generations, often with 6 or more children concurrently controlled in each, while fully acknowledging that the sims is so poorly optimizing this tended to break their saves before generation 4. a lot of them were themed around colors, flowers, specific memes. like a family would have children only named after yellow things or variations of it for one generation, the next orange, red after etc. they would build stories around them, sometimes roleplaying as them or just mocking how they behaved with screenshots from the funniest moments of stupidity. a lot of times they allowed people to vote on who would be heir or otherwise interact with the story.a lot of them also liked to make the ugliest fucking character possible and then try to breed even uglier generations or see how long it took to breed ugly features out. they loved sims eugenics. they would torture them a lot too. if you're referring to current let's players, it's a big thing to do the 100 baby challenge. one woman, 100 fathers. how quickly will the save corrupt? tune in to find out!

>>83837685>>simsif you're younger or haven't played it for a while, give The Sims 1 a go. it's actually pretty fucking challenging: the game is to keep your Sim's needs met rather than just have open-ended fun with your virtual dolls.i actually think The Sims 2 was a step in the RIGHT direction since you could actually breathe and go have fun with the different buildings and expansion areas. you weren't CONSTANTLY spinning plates, like a strategy/puzzle game.>>83837744the challenges and themes are pretty fascinating. everyone does stupid shit in The Sims, but it's interesting the way women can just hop to all this stuff. no 'mechanical' reason for any of it - the game doesn't give a shit about your story - but they do a good job of making their own fun.a bit like the different ways people play Dungeons & Dragons (i really prefer dungeon-crawling D&D to character/improv D&D).
>>83838026Thanks for the good faith response, anon. Sorry for my delayed one, I am at work and just now have a lull. What have you noticed personally?

>>83839132Popular acne-popping, virtual makeover, and skin-cleaning games available on the App Store for kids include Pimple Popper, Pimple Smack, and Pimples and Blackheads Removal. These apps offer cartoonish, "satisfying" simulation experiences, often featuring character makeovers, blackhead, and whitehead removal with simple touch controls suitable for younger users, though some are rated for older children. Top Acne Popping Apps & Games (App Store & Google Play)Pimple Smack: Satisfying Pop (App Store): A, often cartoonish, simulator that allows users to squeeze zits and blackheads with ASMR-style, "oddly satisfying" mechanics.Pimples and Blackheads Removal (App Store/Google Play): Designed for kids and teens, this game focuses on facial makeovers, treating acne on various characters.Pimple Popper (App Store/Google Play): A popular, classic app for popping, squeezing, and removing various skin blemishes.Pluck Pop Squeeze (App Store/Google Play): Features multiple modes including popping, waxing, and, blackhead vacuuming with realistic textures.Beauty Care! (App Store): A, often rated 13+, simulation game focused on, at times, more in-depth spa and skincare, including, at times, acne, procedures. this was a massive fucking thing that a bunch of ai games were made about for kids to mine data in the app store and google play. a lot of them were like frozen themed. or had amputations and other medical shit too. they were mostly clearly chinese or indian made.

>>83839132>>83839169What a throwback. I spent all of high school (2010-2014) doing this to my own face to get rid of acne. Bactine, tri-antibiotic ointment, alcohol wipes, sewing needles and pins, x-acto knives... burning the skin chemically to allow controlled healing and then exfoliate it off as it flakes. People always wondered how I had such nice skin. The red and purple scars were easier to heal without infected white blood cells, plasma, and blood everywhere and much easier to cover with makeup than active acne was. Felt a LOT better too, you could crush up aspirin into the skin for salicylic acid, take ibuprofen to lower inflammation (more blood though), and just scald the skin with the alcohol wipes on the layers of dermis and raw nerves until it had no feeling and was easier to operate on. The lidocaine in the Bactine and other treatments was a boon, it meant it numbed the area and decreased blood flow which was better for operating and looked nicer after. Never felt any effects from allergic reactions because of rubbing my face with Bactine every day before makeup. Redness reliever eye drops helped too, the vasoconstriction of it all.
>>83837716>I enjoy modding the hell out of a sandbox and then sitting back to manipulate different variables and see how the simulation reacts to itThe sims is cool for this but something like Rimworld is where it's at for this type of autism.

>>83839600Thanks but I don't think shes going to add me back unfortunately. But me being impatient is why I'm here now. You have no idea how badly I've fucked things up back to back with her. I wish I could apologize over 9000 times.
>>83839515I know you've blocked me now. Sorry again for looking like a weird stalker. I know you've had a lot of those. I don't talk to strangers privately online so talking to you was a new experience for me and I didn't know how to handle it. I installed discord just to talk with you. Then when you started telling me about modding games I thought you were cool as shit so I got a little obsessed. I kept deleting you because of my fear of you abandoning me yourself I think. I've learned a lot about myself since first meeting you and I've realized I'm just fucking insane. But thanks for talking to me a few times, it really made my mundane life interesting I just wish I could have made it work.
