To a large extent, birth control and ssris wreak havoc on women's already feeble minds making them even worse than they would have been naturally. They are worse for health and outcomes at the individual and societal level than heroine, fentanyl, meth, crack, etc.. The problem is exacerbated by the fact people will shame users of street drugs and even make it into a moral problem, but nobody is telling women they are bad people for abusing hormonal contraceptives and antidepressants even though they are much worse.
