>AI is dangerous

Which side should I believe

>Which side should I believe
AI is dangerously good at making you believe it's a nothingburger and not an autocomplete machine
>>
>>83842511
An autocomplete machine can be dangerous in the hands of people who don't know it's a nothingburger.
Particularly when it's been manipulated to autocomplete lavish praise for the emperor's new clothes and any "wrong" response noting the emperor is naked must be due to white supremacy.
>>
>>83842511
the latter is more true than the former right now
things may change one day
>>
If someone is telling you AI is nothing or something shitty, you need to ignore that retard.

Tech giants don't invest 2 trillion in something because it sucks (except for META, but Zuck was never smart, just evil).

Aside: If total fuckup retards started asking AI chat what to do, we'd have less criminals and losers in society. It's already smarter than they are (not saying much).

>autocomplete machine
There are a lot more uses for AI than just helping you with your homework. It has a lot of potential for good and bad.
>>
>>83843077
"Tech giants" passing $1 around between themselves two trillion times is not $2T invested.

Both are true.
AI is dangerous not because of some silly movie bullshit like robot uprising but because of how it is and will be used.

It's a tool meant to centralize more power and lower the intelligence and quality of life for the working class, just another but very potent tool to do the same thing they've always done.
Nothing (new) ever happens, just shades of the same shit throughout centuries but AI will allow them to accelerate even further.

To elaborate, the goal is to flood people with so much unreliable information that they are simply forced to rely on state provided information, the goal is to force AI into every workplace to deskill people and kick the ladder by eliminating low tier positions so younger people don't even get a chance to learn at all, the goal is to further kill human creativity by attempting to kill creative fields as both work and hobby by eliminating creative positions and flooding the internet with so much shit brown hands generated that connecting with other real creatives and seeing what they've made becomes near impossible, thus further killing human spirit while further decreasing production costs of entertainment but never decreasing the price.

It's dangerous because it's an incredibly useful tool to them, the saddest part are the retards genuinely believing that big corporations are scared because little Timmy will be able to generate movies or something and make a living, completely ignoring the fact that when billions of people make that shit with no barrier of entry people will stop bothering and only watch AI gen slop that has marketing budget - something only big corporations can afford.
Soon you'll be nothing but a meat robot doing physical labor, with no aspirations to have because thinks to aspire towards have been obliterated.
But hey I guess after coming to your communal sleeping room after 16 hours workday you can now generate a funny cat video before you go to sleep, yipee...

AI is a tool that will be used by the elite to create a totalitarian technocracy.

It's so hilarious how every time they try make an AI to guide hiring decisions, training it on the performance data of their existing employees, it always ends up saying you shouldn't hire/promote women or blacks.

It doesn't even know what women or blacks are, it's not sexist or racist, it just recognized the pattern that employees with those data tokens underperform and are a bad investment.

What even funnier is that you can strip out sex and race from the training data, and it identifies that employees attended certain schools or were members of certain clubs or organizations underperform, are a bad investment, and should not be hired or promoted. Those employees? Yeah, women and blacks again. The AI still doesn't know what women or blacks are, it's not being sexist or racist, it just recognized a pattern that employees with these data tokens underperformed.

By the time you've lobotomized the training data enough that it stops dropping trvkes about how stereotypes are generally accurate, it's basically been turned into a random number generator.

AI is just an autocomplete machine, but it turns out that's smart enough to be dangerous. Believe both.
>>
>>83842511
Underestimating threats is the dumbest thing you can ever do.

That said, there is really nothing that can be done to stop it.
>>
AI is dangerous because it is a nothingburger autocomplete machine and people are using it to make important decsions and build the infrastructure that will continue to fail because it was made by lazyfucks and mostly phoned in to said autocomplete machine.
>>
>>83842511
AI is objectively useful and powerful and you should disregard and mock any soilennial boomer saying otherwise.
>>
>>83844530
Do you mean text-based generative AI or more abstract forms of machine learning?
>>
>>83842511
AI as currently used here (making stupid memes, fake nudes, ghibli slop, fake voices, ect.) is not the actual money maker for these companies. The booty really comes from ZOG government contracts because militaries all over the world use it for empowering thier arsenal and making advancements in mass surveillance. The IDF, for example, works with Google and Microsoft and others to put AI in CCTV cams spy on Arabs and to put AI in drones to bomb civilians in Gaza.

>the real money is delivering <90% reliable products to the government for 4000% mark up
Damn... i never thought about it like that

you're shitting on me for stating the obvious?

A little bit, yeah.
You post kind of dodges the issue at hand.

Even understanding its a bubble, I still believe that it will sucessfully permanently take over white collar meme ocupations like artists

Oh, well what I am also saying is unethical technology and weapons used against civilians in poor nations invaded by powerful nations (mostly the US these days) more or less bring the same cruelty back home. The IDF trains ICE, for example. Palintir, for example.

LLMs just take from what actual humans do, and actual humans have those biases. It's not going to get rid of those biases. What you say isn't groundbreaking because the AI is sentient and based, it's just that's what it's learned from human bias.

>>83844620
Can you imagine a set of circumstances where a system selects for high value workers, and excludes browns and women, AND this is not caused by some spectre of X-ism?
>>
>>83842511
>Which side should I believe
ai is dangerous, llms are a nothingburger (mostly). other ai methods are pretty effective at datamining, recommending you things and tracking you throughout the internet and irl
>>
>>83844625
No, that's socially illegal.
>>
>>83844632
My AI entertainment curating algorithms are shite. They think i'm just casual comsumer goycattle like everyone else.
They will never realize i crave novelty and expression in my media
>>
>>83844652
>They will never realize i crave novelty and expression in my media
either it's done on purpose or you're just goycattle like everyone else, either way it's working as intended
>>
>>83844625
>Can you imagine a set of circumstances where a system selects for high value workers
Yes
>excludes browns and women
That would mean it's inherently biased by humans. Logically it would have no reason to do this from the get go.
>>
>>83844670
It's working me by limiting the time i use the service as i go do something else question mark open parentheses rhetorical question close parentheses
>>
>>83844679
Logically, thus could happen by pure chance from a limited data set, but you're not smart enough to think of that; and you'll never be smart enough to accept the real reason.
