Possibly finally fixing my sleeping schedule and taking it easy

>That's pretty much a requirement now for this kind of job. Maybe not fully remote but at least 50%
requirement 4 u or a requirement in general?
>I gotta look up some but I've definitely seen a bunch of weird ones. There's this Vivilly guy on the 'tube who makes tons of horror mod videos, probably gonna look through his channel later
hmm. I would love 2 hear more about this. though i probably wouldn't want 2 play any of that, I am horrible with horror haha
>Well I'm asking because I got bored of Vermintide too quickly and thought maybe Darktide is better since it's newer... Not like I have frens to play it with anyway, it's been sitting in my library for over a year now
do u have a main that u like on darktide?
>Never blame yourself, blame the jews instead
what did le joos do? (joos joos)
>So... you got ditched because you weren't needed anymore? Grim.
yeah, I suppose so...

My ass demands it, but most people working office jobs have realized how pointless it is to leave your house early in the morning, waste time in traffic or public transport, just so you can sit on another chair and do what you could have done an hour earlier at home if your boss wasn't a retarded boomer
>i probably wouldn't want 2 play any of that
Understandable. Horror is stupid anyway...

I only did a couple matches and never touched it again so no

Well, is this easytaker in the room with us?

I managed to do that recently. As long as you count waking up before 3pm as managing.

>>83838909
>How did it go with ur work? Did u manage 2 get anything done?
It's getting there slowly but if I lock in I might be able to get it done over the weekend. I know who's on my confirmation panel now and at least one them nice and will probably bat for me.

>>83839506
>dumb coworker's who's been working the same job for almost a decade and somehow still writes broken spaghetti code
There's a term for that: job security
>Does Grok even have a research tool?
I guess but it's not very good. It cited things that seem relevant enough (plus things that it just made up) but without any quotes.
The eggheads at RAND can be relatively safe knowing they won't lose their jobs to robots any time soon.

>job security
I know what you mean, and I don't think it's always the case, at least not the recent one I was told about. Some people actually have no idea what they're doing because they're tech illiterate normalfags who weren't meant to work a job made by autists for autists.
But anyway, now you could write the most disgusting pajeet code on earth and AI can easily fix it, so hopefully no more "job security" bullshit for these incompetent retards.
>I guess but it's not very good
What about Gemene 3? Have you tried its deep research tool?
I'd be curious to see if it does any better since it has direct access to Goygle's servers
>they won't lose their jobs to robots any time soon
LLMs are meant to be used as an autocomplete tool that you have to guide in the right direction, otherwise they'll likely start hallucinating. So yeah, there's no real automation yet for stuff that requires actual thinking

soon the bosses will b replaced by younger ppl so it may not b as difficult 2 get the job u want

I should probably head to bed now. Take care everyone.

>>83843982
>Some people actually have no idea what they're doing because they're tech illiterate normalfags who weren't meant to work a job made by autists for autists.
I feel bad that there was big push to get everyone to learn to program. All it did was depress wages and increase unemployment.
I kind of feel the same about my "job". If you're not autistically obsessing over something very esoteric this isn't the line of work for you. To be fair I've met very few academics who aren't bookish nerds.

>>83843982
>What about Gemene 3? Have you tried its deep research tool?
I tend to avoid using AI for anything unless a google search just gives a bunch of listicles. As you say it's meant to be a fancy autocomplete but I don't have a need for that.
On a related note I think my stalker had a breakdown because she had ChatGPT write her entire literature review and that was full of hallucinations so her supervisor reprimanded her for that. I'll take that as some kind of karmic justice.

>to get everyone to learn to program
I hate that so many people are only in for the money and have no real interest in this field, but I also hate how big corpos normalized the internet, turned people into disposable code monkeys, and now they're trying to get rid of them so they can make even more profit. It's all such a big jewish mess...
>I tend to avoid using AI
That's better. Sometimes I find myself writing stuff that isn't code and I really don't like when I let an AI do it for me, it feels wrong and half-assed
>her supervisor reprimanded her for that
Totally deserved. Giving AI access to everyone has been a huge disaster due to most people being dumb and irresponsible, but at the same time how were they gonna train those models without the juicy data collection?

Because it is.
Way too many people eagerly outsource their thinking to LLMs and that should scare anyone.
>how were they gonna train those models without the juicy data collection?
How much of that data is even useful? Half of it is just kids asking it to do their homework.

>>83848585
>They didn't think this one through...
Small companies? Probably not. Most of them are stupid and shouldn't exist in the first place. Big corpos like Goygle though surely know what they're doing and they don't care about people losing their jobs because it doesn't affect them.
>outsource their thinking to LLMs
Not that they could think if they wanted to. 70-80% of people are cattle and the internet wasn't meant to be accessible to them. It ruined society, created fake jobs, made everyone lazy, and now it's making everyone even more retarded because why do anything if AI can do it for you.
>How much of that data is even useful?
Probably a lot of it. Even if only half, that's still a lot of data

>>
>>83850352
unless someone directly tells you something like that its not good for your esteem to assume the worst. a lot of reasons why people withdraw and not always because of the other people in question
>>
>>83850846
>Big corpos like Goygle though surely know what they're doing
I think once a company reaches a certain size they also lose focus. I know that the different divisions of Google butt heads pretty often. There was some drama with Graphene a few months ago where the security team wanted to do something the marketing people wouldn't sign off on. In the end the bean counters usually win out, it seems.
>70-80% of people are cattle and the internet wasn't meant to be accessible to them
Conversations I've had with cab drivers are kind of horrifying in that regard. You don't realise just how much regular people use (and now rely on) this stuff. But I just don't get why once the novelty wears off.
>that's still a lot of data
Makes sense I guess. I wonder how they're going to cope with all the training data being garbage that AI wrote...

>>83853216
>lose focus
More like the focus shifts more and more towards money, and whatever loss they might face doesn't really matter since they profit off of so many different things. The AI race might be the only real challenge big corpos have to deal with right now, everything else is just a side quest
>kind of horrifying
In what ways?
>garbage that AI wrote
They've probably built filtering systems to prevent dataset poisoning, which I'd assume are also AI-based, like a feedback loop

I'm reasonably certain none of them have made any money off it yet. I guess they're all playing the long game right now but I can see it never being profitable. All the money is in reselling their APIs.
>In what ways?
Just how common it is. I figured it would be limited to certain demographics but it's basically just everybody and that scares the shit out of me.
>which I'd assume are also AI-based
Layering AI on top of more AI is only going to end badly...
I don't like this brave new world we're in. Let's just hope the money stops flowing sooner than later.
