I wish I was a chronically depressed 1950s housewife in Minnesota.
>>
>>83843129
There isn't even a cool aesthetic attached to that. Why?
>>
>>83843173
>he doesn't know about depressed 1950s Minnesotan wife-core
>>
>>83843173
You wouldn't understand it.
>>
>>83843204
Yeah I don't, that's why I'm asking.
>>
>>83843173
It's just a very specific kind of suffering that I would much rather experience over whateverthefuck this is. I want a different kind of powerlessness.
>>
>>83843248
You could probably find some lunatic that'll keep you housebound if you want. Nothing really stopping you.
>>
>>83843129
this and a physically abusive alcoholic chain smoking husband who's 15 years older than me. giwtwm
>>
>>83843253
Sure but I'm not in 1950s Minnesota. It's just not the same.
>>
Sorry we flooded the labour market and defacto criminalized marriage so you're just going to have to be a chronically depressed 2020s wagie in whatever shithole city/ open air insane asylum you live in sweetheart
>>
Well, your kind wanted fair wages and equality so here you go. A dystopia where everyone loses.
>>
>ywn stare with quiet, sharp contempt at your fatass piece of shit husband and your spoiled brat kids that you can't help but only see him in while they eat the breakfast you made for them in silence occasionally interrupted by sighs before beginning to spiral into self-loathing for feeling this way
why even live
>>
>>83843307
I think women should be allowed to choose to work or live as housewives, and men should be allowed to do the same, and we would be allowed to have such a society if like 30 people weren't hoarding all the fucking money this great country has to offer.
>>
>>83843347
I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but simply put. Today's economy can't afford a housewife + trad husband lifestyle. Single family households stopped being a thing after the late 2000s.
>>
>>83843347
>and men should be allowed to do the same
Anon, women will never allow men to be free from the shackles of the patriarchy. Who are you kidding?
>>
>>83843347
Where do you think the money is being hoarded? In a big vault where the evil billiunares go to smoke cigars and cackle in an evil manner?
We would never be allowed to have such a society because a prerequisite for a single income household is to make a single income household viable in the economy which cant happen if you have twice the labour pool you economically illiterate foid
>>
>>83843129
Nobody was depressed in 1950 because all the house wives were on magic cocaine diet pills and other happy drugs before it all became illegal.
>>
>>83843579
Now they're all on ssris and meth and at a much higher rate
>>
>>83843270
Why not move to Minnesota and invent your own calendar system?
>>
>>83843730
Everybody's different. Culture has shifted. Pretending would just be cope.

Unironically yes.

So join a Baptist church.

In 1950, the average CEO at a large U.S. company earned approximately 20 times more than the compensation of their median worker.
In 2024-2025, the average CEO of a major U.S. corporation (S&P 500) made roughly 281 to 285 times more than their median employee. For the 100 lowest-paying large companies, this gap is significantly wider, with CEOs earning 632 times the pay of their median worker.
Some estimates suggest the minimum wage would need to be over $40/hr to match the purchasing power today that it had in 1950.

You cannot retvrn to tradition because these people are straight-up just refusing to pay you for your work.
>>
You wouldn't be depressed with me here
>>
>>83843840
Lmfao. Ur one of the biggest assholes on this board.
>>
>>83843559
>implying corporate greed didn't exist before the 60s because it wasn't economically allowed to
>>
>>83843823
...What's that supposed to do?
>>
>>83843865

You want to be someplace with a restrictive, backwards-ass culture, don't you?
>>
>>83844418

i would unironically get gay married to an oncologist and be a subservient househusband and give up the bussy daily if it meant i never had to get up at 4:30 am and work my poornigger shitslave job again. I FUCKING HATE MY JOB. I HATE MY FUCKING LIFE. I DON'T WANT TO WORK. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>>
>>83843129
I also wish I can be chronically depressed in 1950s America instead of chronically depressed in 2020s America
>>
>>83844702
If this guy can do it with the 1920s, you can do it with the 1950s.

1.) WTF how much money does this nigga have?
2.) The world around him is in 2026 no matter how much he LARPs, unfortunately. :/
>>
>>83843129
You could be housewife in some other place. But I don't know if you'd be chronically depressed as it's nice, peaceful, quiet place with lots of nice nature like forests, river and plains and I believe contact with nature is one of things that help with depression.
