Asian food is funny because you'll be eating something presumably benign like a cup of noodles and then you read the warnings on the side and it's like
>WARNING: this product is known to the state of California to cause Cancer, birth defects, and HIV
>If you eat this you will fucknig die
>>
>If you eat this you will fucknig die
I wish
>>
>American food industry
What a fucking joke lol. No wonder everyone is lethargic and diseased there.
>>
>implying that being born asian isn't a birth defect.

>implying you aren't a sekrit Jap

i recently stopped eating cup noodles cuz I realized that the amount of microplastics you take from putting hot water into them must be through the roof

That warning is on fucking everything dude. It's just some dumb California law. Every human on Earth is filled with microplastics and PFAs, it doesn't matter anymore.
>>
The California thing is dumb. It not just asian food. I bought some bread before and it had the same warning
>>

Putting hot water into them isn't that bad.
Microwaving them is super bad
>>
that's why asian food is so oishii! :3
>>
>>83845008
It's not bad compared to the worst option, but it's still bad compared to all the other options.
>>
>>83844833
you can just put the cup noodles in a bowl and pour in water then (optionally) put a plate ontop for the same effect

i try this for regular packet noodles and its undercooked :(
>>

I think I'll just buy them whole and cook them in a saucepan, if I ever want some, in the future.

It's weird how little information is given on food in general. You can get angus beef pretty easily in most grocery stores but other than that potatoes are the only things where you get some kind of idea; you know if it's a russet or Yukon gold. But what the fuck is a red potato? Mystery meat genetics, it's a potato and it's red, they don't want you to know anything beyond that. But what kind of carrot, pork, rice, chicken, etc. are you looking at?
The slow food and local food types really need to start pressuring the authorities to require stricter labeling requirements. What varietal of strawberries? What pisses me off most is when something is labeled as from Mexico or some other country. Might as well just say grown on Earth. I want to the exact address printed for where it came from, the logistics company that moved it, and address of every place it stopped. Every time a product changes hands should have a company name and address. Animal or plant breed and genetics as well as every place the meat traveled for processing and distribution.
It's bad enough we don't even know what our food is. Worse we can't know where it's from or where it's been. Local markets are better at this, but there's a lot of red tape solely made for keeping small farmers locked out of the food production and distribution network. It's textbook regulatory capture to enforce monopolies and stifle alternatives.
Farmers, distributors, and grocery stores need to be held more accountability with more transparency on the origin and provenance of food.

Everything you eat is toxic and lacks nutrients. It's deliberate too

california think everything causes cancer

I think if I actually got cancer I'd finally have the motivation to die by suicide by cop or something
