>finally get an office job with decent pay>get barely no work for 3 months so far>sit idle on my phone most of my work hours>all while people all around me either too busy working or chatting and socializing genuinely the most horrible experience of my lifefeeling completely useless AND completely socially inept at the same timei was made to be a neet
>>83844730Unless you can genuinely become invisible, you're going to get fired. You have to at least be likable to your boss. Office work is about laying low and being deemed likable, the actual work doesn't matter because it mostly isn't real
>>83844730similar to me, I been in a government wagie job since may last year and I'm not really doing anything all day, theres like a little bit of work in the mornings then I just fuck around watching youtube vids on the dual monitors, make random black coffees, sometimes draw or read and leave early. Pay is ok and to be honest I'm glad I do nothing. No one really speaks to each other despite it being a small place, wfh 2 or 3 days a week on alternating weeks. I'm in tomorrow and I cba, can choose what time I clock in and I usually clock in at 7am and leave at 2 on a friday. Sometimes the insane homeless man outside the mini supermarket outside of work will argue with me which is the most exciting part of the day but if it rains he doesn't appear.
>>83844736ive been suspecting it since day one and i hope i do>>83844767well at least you have a few people and nobody talksthat sounds more like the office job i was hoping forfor me its a big open office with a LOT of people and everyone is either working hard or chatting and im in the middle of it looking at emails and pretending to be workingits feels so bad
>>83844730should have become a server administrator anon what where you thinking? now go make small talk at the bubbler..
>>83844730>get barely no work for 3 months so far>sit idle on my phone most of my work hoursWhy is this bad? I had a job like this and I fucking loved it. Then they promoted me and now it fucking sucks. I should've never accepted the promotion because I make a little more money but now I have shit to do every day. I already had plenty of money in the first place because I'll never move out and my goal is to retire early.
>>83844730damn samebut its a below minimum wagie job thanks to a shitty contractalso i have a shit ton of work in short spurts, work that half of the time i have no idea what to do, since responsibilities outside of my scope are pushed onto me, with no training ofc
