every single game gets worse over time. the more meta knowledge there is for a game the worse it is. the second you start getting in depth guides on youtube videos for mechanics in games its over, no fun allowed and the devs pushing constant nerfs while updating powercreep into the game. when a game first starts out its a beautiful cake, frosting, fruits, chocolate, everything. then the chief decides its too sweet, cuts chocolate, the fruit doesnt work well without the sugar so just cut it too, he randomly decides raisons are good and slathers them all over the cake. then they realize the frosting is too expensive to make so in order for more profits they make it shittier and cheaper. now you just have this disgusting piece of shit cake that is roleplaying as the cake you used to like eating and to make matters worse you have people born in 2010 telling you "actually the cake is still good, nostalgia is just blinding you" when they have literally no idea how good the cake was
