Christianity is the feelgood lie, Buddhism is the painful truth. Only one can lead to actual salvation.
If that were true you wouldn't need to preach to robots.
>>83845470>t.Enrique Hernando Gonzales from the BrazilliPinesIt looks like the book of j*wish manipulation has taught you very well indeed.
>>83845454>Christianity is the feelgood lieIt just doesn't feel right that everyone is saved with Christianity, it doesn't feel like it makes reality for it's believers better if knowing even the most evilist of serial killers are saved just by believing. It's terrifying. >>83845454>Buddhism is the painful truth.I don't know anything about this belief system since I wasn't born in a place where it's practiced. How can I as a Westerner have an opinion of it when I've never experienced it?
>>83845454>salvationThat's not what Buddhism is about.
>>83845503Are suffering and hell not the same thing? Nirvana is freedom from suffering and suffering is what "hell" really means. However, one actually exists and can be scientifically proven. "The unseen" is not deeper than science by any means because we have scientific proof of the brain patterns responsible for religious delu- I mean thought.
compassion for other beings is the root of all the Buddha's teachingsin Buddhism they say the Buddha crosses beings over, or delivers them to the other shoreeverything the Buddha does is for the sake of curing sentient beings' delusions and rescuing them from their unnecessary sufferingprimarily by causing them to become Bodhisattvas and eventually Buddhas, and causing these to proliferate through all universesbut also in many other ways as He adapts His teachings to their own innate desires and tendencies, making them more receptive to understandingsuch as by inspiring them to become Arhats through strict practice, and escape into nirvanaor inspiring them to find their own enlightenment independentlyor, through His miraculous transformative power, by coming to them in the form of some other teacher who is better able to inspire them along the path
>>83845485So calm and collected, I'm sure you'll reach nirvana soon retard.
>>83845521>Are suffering and hell not the same thing? No, not really. Hell is supposedly a place where there's maximum suffering forever, but it doesn't have to exist only there within Christianity and Islam. Buddhism isn't really about "saving" either, it's more like "here are some recommended best practices to reduce suffering." It doesn't even really need to be seen as a religion and the Buddha disliked metaphysical masturbation.
>>83845454If that was true, women wouldn't like buddhism
>>83845662The notion he taught "reducing suffering" is wrong, as that's the path of karma/action. He taught liberation, the path of gnosis. "Reducing suffering" is in reference to conduct, which is only that which is conducive, not the ultimate goal. Btw gnosis/wisdom/vijja/vidya mean the same thing and agnosis/ignorance/avijja/avidya mean the same thing. I say this because I explained this before and someone responded that buddhism had nothing to do with gnosticism, which is true, but gnosis =/= gnosticism, gnosis is just a greek word that means the same thing as the pali word vijja. Anyhow, wisdom is the intuitive knowledge of ultimate reality, "thou art that", you are the Absolute; you aren't an object of perception or feeling. Without the attachment to objects as the Self, when you die you won't cling onto a new identity, thus ending transmigration.
>>83845454>Only one can lead to actual salvation.that goes beyond what you can reasonably claim
>r9k >experts on buddhism and christianity
>>83845454Christianity demands brutal self-denial united to Christ's atoning death. Not a feelgood lie. Buddhism only sees self denial for the sake of it but denies God, Incarnation, and grace, so it cannot save. Only Christ saves.Have a good day.
