>want to learn to do thing
>doing thing well requires countless hours of practice
>don't enjoy doing things i'm bad at
>don't do thing because you have to be bad at it for ages to finally get good
>end up wasting my life accomplishing nothing
I am trapped in a prison of my own creation.

this is an extremely common problem that can be blamed on poor parenting -- telling you you're smart instead of praising you for trying hard and persevering
>>
You are a covert narcissist, you have to preserve the view that you are smarter and better than everyone else and so you can't try new things for fear of not immediately mastering them.

what's the alternative to this? take the schopenhauer pill and just vibe and read books all day? is it better to be blissfully unaware of my shortcomings or learn humility by trying many things and failing?

I can't tell you what to be interested in, but anything valuable is typically hard to do, and if you're not failing you're not actually pushing your limits

the single biggest thing that sabotages any chance of success is simply being an internet addict and procrastinator. i also have 'the grass is always greener' syndrome where i jump from one interest to the next without improving substantially.
