>my cat is starting to get really old
>hes really wobbly and sometimes falls over
holy fuck please dont let this be happening my cat and i grew up together i was a little kid when he was a kitten and now we're both old as shit and hes sick

is it rare to commit suicide after your cat dies because i have nobody to live for except him
>>
Holy fuck pet owners are some of the weakest most pathetic ilk on the planet.

>pet owners
its called being a human being you retard. hes a mammal just like me (not a reptilian like you) and we have more common bonds than differences. i dont "own" him he can leave anytime if he wanted and never come back
>>
>>83853932
yeah if your pet is wobbling put him down of his misery and buy another, there are so many of those you can get them for free.
>>
My cat is also getting wobbly and his health problems are continuing to worsen and compound over time. I ask friends, family and the vet to tell me when they start thinking its getting time to euthanize since my judgement is biased.
>>
Imagine how sad your cat will be if you kill yourself after he dies.
He'll probably blame himself despite it being his natural lifespan.
Just adopt another cat and save it from being euthanized by the shelter.

Cats get old and die, anon. Take him to the vet and hold his paw when it's time.

I've watched two cats die in the last 6 years. One died in my bed. The other died at the vet after an injection. The latter is vastly preferable IMHO.

cats die. It's what they do. get used to it or else you will forever be bound by your own shackles.
t.bound by my own shackles

Your cat is you.
Now what would your cat (you) want as he dies?
That's right. He wants a female cat to love and briefly take away his pain and sorrow.
You'll grant his wish won't you? And look at that now you have another cat to take care of again.

Bro you better spend every living second you have with your cat until the end. My cat of 16 years recently had to be put down due to brain cancer. I cried my eyes out when she died right in front of me. I feel like a part of me was taken and never returned. I have one more cat left (they were both best friends) and she's 13. I spend as much time with her as I can. Cats are only here for a short time and while they're only a part of your life, to them, you're their whole life.

Mine passed as well and I feel so much grief everyday over him. I know what it feels like. I'm sorry it's happening. Cherish every moment with him. I'd give anything and everything to have a bit more time with him. I love him so much.

Same thing with the dog my dad rescued from the street when I was 3 years old. She can barely go up and down stairs, sometimes her back legs give out and she falls.

god its so fucking sad, at least they had as good of a life as they could have hopefully

ive had to deal with 2 cats dying the past couple years. first, my childhood cat that lived 18 years, long enough for us to see signs of aging, got hit and killed by a car a week before my birthday. second, my mom's cat (she passed of cancer recently before my cat was killed), ended up going blind and slowly deteriorated, dying in my parent's bathroom because my dad didn't have the heart to put him down, can't blame him either.
i'll say this, as bad as it was to suddenly bury my cat, at least i didn't have to witness him in pain, moving less and less, for months. of course i am glad i got to see him grow old, but i am also thankful i did not see him deteriorate like other pets.
just get another pet when you're ready. a few days after my cat was killed i noticed all the squirrels were really confident in the backyard, which rly irritated me for some reason.. anyway i have a dog now that i lowkey believe is a partial reincarnation of my cat because he has this cute little patch on his forehead.

cat owner here, that's most likely arthritis, and not at all indicative of nearing the end of a lifespan. most cats over the age of 10 get this so it's not at all unusual. take him to the vet for a monthly injection of solensia and he should start feeling better and getting to be more mobile

Did you know that when cats (and some other animals) are dying they run away into the wilderness to die alone
>>

Pets are better than humans. I value pets over humans.
>>
>>83853932
Fuck u fag at least I know how it feels to love something and never letting it go
>>
>>83854414
obviously. you should have your rights stripped away and forced to live out in the wilderness. you're a danger to other people and you admit it.
>>
>>83854417
Pet owners are some of the cringiest, emotional tampons I've ever seen in my life, it's actually insane.

Cats are precious items, that should be unequipable. In a space RPG. About us being on a rock, of course. Any questions?
