i just ate some steak a few minutes ago and i felt a tiny piece of meat heading towards my esophagus but i squeezed it out. however i am still not 100% sure i actually got it out and now i think i aspirated it into my lungs and i am panicking and i'm actually starting to feel something in my throat, though it's probably placebo, i'm not actually choking or anything
why is my brain like this, am i a hypochondriac?
>>
That's normal, by tomorrow at some point you won't even remember at which time you stopped feeling that.

>piece of meat heading towards my esophagus
I would hope so. My esophagus is narrow so sometimes when I eat meat too fast it gets stuck and I have to go puke it up. Sometimes it's pretty stuck which really sucks.

so does this happen to everyone? i feel like this happens to me more often because i am paranoid in general and i am very hyperfocused when eating which ironically ends up making me have near choking accidents more. i feel retarded for failing at a task like eating

yeah i'm actually stupid i meant trachea not esophagus, but this happens to me too, it sucks

>choking
Can't relate (anymore). Since I eat the natural human diet (raw animal products) I'm basically immune to choking due to the soft and lubricative nature of real food. I've nearly died choking on cooked meat a few times in my life, and it didn't take much because of how much cooking dries and hardens everything. Not to mention all the nutrient loss from water/fat leaving the food, as well as nutrient destruction from the heat, and all the toxins produced by heating the food.

do you know how choking works? it basically means that as you swallow you're also breathing. so as long as anything in your mouth is about to go down your throat and you're for some reason breathing at the same time you are going to choke regardless of what it is. do you seriously think prehistoric humans who ate raw meat never choked on anything, i even hear of people choking on sashimi and shit all the time

altough i will not deny that you are much more likely to die from hard dried foods getting lodged in your throat like a large piece of steak. but people choke on hotdogs all the time and those are smooth and wet
