I like outdoor half-stray barn cats because of how much of a sweet deal we have with them-- just refill a thing of pellet food and they'll form a colony and reduce the pests in the area-- and they're nice to see in close knit communities just lazing about like sentries, also in civilized places like Turkey's capital and those Japanese towns, but house cats genuinely smell, they're either over-socialized or plain unfriendly. And people seem to idolize them for the fact that they themselves genuinely seem to have a distaste for their lifestyle.>oh they're so aloof and sassy>they manage me>'I'm their human'etc It's just pathetic. Like a fat border collie or a Labrador or something. When I imagine them in my mind's eye they're frolicking in an English countryside. Of a husky in the snow pulling a sled. Not metricizing pet ownership, nor do I hate dogs, (actually all Muslims should be sent to the near east by default and we should use dogs specifically to chase them away on foot all the way there) but it's just lame as fuck to see it. When I see mid 30s looking Korean women pushing strollers with immaculately groomed Bichon-like dwarf dogs my face wrinkles into just malicious disgust
