I low key regret not joining the army when I was 18 or 19. I'm not cut out for real life and I would have been much happier in a self contained place that took care of my basic needs and told me where to go and what to do when I got there.
>>
You... you study and stand in a place for an hour.
>>
>>83873029
What rate? I did AF its chill asf no bonus though
>>
>>83873051
trust me man, this place is not what you expect. I have not seen a medical professional in a month purely because it is so inconvenient to schedule an appointment. you have to get your uniforms fixed on your own time, wake up on your own time, eat on your own time, and every time you mess up, your at fault, and they will make sure you know it.

we study nuclear engineering for 5 hours a day ontop of 6 hours of school, plus we have to work duty days occasionally, not as easy as it sounds

mfw when i get to ICE (I Cry Everytime) and now i have to learn every single electrical component that is/was used in an nuclear reactor.
>>
Go away zogbot no one here wants to die for jizzrael
>>
>>83873168
Bro I don't want to die either they just told me I could be a nuclear engineer and get lots of money. I didn't sign up for all the crazy shit that's about to unfold.
>>
I'm going to boot camp for CG soon, 4 year contract, I was thinking of going navy after to exactly what you do, is it really that bad? Also tips for bct and how to make military jobs fun because I see a lot of people say it's jarring
>>
>>83873029
Did some searching and apparently it just sucks ass and you were right definitely not doing ts
>>
>>83873249
honestly just find good friends, the only thing that you really got in the military is each other.
>>83873284
it does, it's not even the academic part that is the worst, it's just the military stuff. Muster, watches, Uniform inspection, just the general military stuff that erodes your time away for no good reason.
>>
>>83873202
i wish i joined the navy that sounds way cooler than what i do
>>
>>83873029
you better study for six months because we don't want our military full of worthless retards
>>
>>83873360
I assure you, despite all the fancy shit saying we're war fighters or super heros, we're not. we just work for the government and sometimes we get to do something cool like work on a reactor or kill houthis, but it doesn't even feel cool or fun, it just feels like a job.
>>83873367
2 years, the A school is six months, then I do Nuclear Power School for two months. Then they put me in a test nuclear reactor for a bit, and I'm finally ready to work on an actual reactor.

also don't worry, I'll be sure to study hard.
>>
>>83873347
Is the pay worth it? Nuclear reactors are fucking cool and my ASVAB can give me any job in and branch I want, also do you feel like you have enough time to enjoy other stuff (go out, date etc)?
>>
>>83873481
Pay is pretty good, you get 20K just for passing bootcamp, I have so much money I don't even know what to do with it. If you do good on tests or you study hard then you absolutely have time to go out, a couple of my friends went out to the beach and it looked gorgeous. I haven't tried dating yet but I imagine you could.
>>
>>83873481
Hes in training now so yes but then hes going to be in the middle of the ocean in a sub doing 12+ hr shifts so no
>>

Salutations recruiter!
Anyway... joining the army in the state the world is in just sounds like a mighty bad idea.
One day you're "studying and sitting in a place" for hours, and the next you're sent off to some third world shithole to die for Israel or oil or both.
Army is exclusively for those who are either completely suicidal or so desperate for money they're basically willing to trade their life for it.
There's also the paper-chasers, but who cares about those.
If you're not one of the three you've just failed the ultimate litmus IQ test.

Go air force, they might call you a fag but u won't get shot, jets are also nice
>>
>>83873029
Play video games and go to the gym
>>
>>83873029
Sky, is that you?

Seriously though, Army here joined in 2023. Obviously it'll be different when you get to the force but try to just ride AIT out. I know it doesn't feel like it, but you're playing by big boy rules so don't do anything too stupid. You're going to be fine, you just gotta find productive ways to fill your time and challenge yourself.

Or just marry a stripper and get a DUI, seems to work for my guys.
>>
I would maybe join the military were I some silver spoon Kennedy type who got to advise your commanders on politics and leadship on my three-martini lunch but since that was not my lot in life the military really cannot offer me a thing.

I bet when you walk into a car dealership the salesmen salivate.
>>
>>83873029
You now have the incredibly arduous task of sitting there twiddling your thumbs until its over. I say that without a hint of sarcasm
>>
>>83873098
>and every time you mess up, your at fault
the navy is one of the most laid back undisciplined branches there are how is it you're going through the ringer? retarded?
>>
>>83874594
Hes not a fag, so he is the entire navy's fall guy as an outsider

I wish i could get even 5k now to upgrade my thriving business.
>>
No thanks, recruiter. Besides, I tried to after I fell for the 9/11 psyop. However, I was denied after I had multipme bowel surgeries. Not to mention, a few in my hometown were killed in Iraq. Thanks Israel. I was glad I was enlightened about that years later, and now the Epstein files proved it. I fucking loved how the people who called me crazy were coping so badly when I showed them that.
>>
>>83873029
You only got 20k for nuke? I thought they were giving out at least 50k for nukes when I joined.
Sub or surface?
