Is anyone here a teacher or had working experiences in schools? I'm starting my 50 day long internship at a school today. I can't say I'm super pumped for it. I exude zero authority. I'm 26 but these 15 year old kids likely have more life experience than me. I am gonna get eaten alive in this profession. both by the kids AND the cannibalizing gossiping adults in the staff room.

Grow a long beard (yes his current look, his SoR look won't exude enough authority) and no matter WHAT respond with either a quip (if you can think of something funny) OR a feel-good story/anecdote from your adolescence that pertains to the situation (doesn't have to be real) to every little shit's unfunny tease or 67 joke or whatever the fuck other disrespect they throw at you. At best you will grow to become their younger, yet still sagely teacher figure and at worst you will be their verbal punching bag outside of class as they'll feel too bad for you to say anything to your face. It's a win either way. ||The only catch is you have to be 5'6-5'10 otherwise they'll just think you're creepy lanklet/dwarf. You have to exude JackBlackness.||
