>metalheads would rather listen to a teenager yelling with no proper technique than to listen to their 90s work where the singer can ACTUALLY sing
desu
>>
i always fantasized what my life would be like if i was a member of metallica
none of those guys ever fucked a bitch with small tits

Sometimes emotion is more important than technical ability

you ARE Metallica, anon

I actually like Metallica, but it is not my favorite "metal" band. I'm only adding quotations because I'm not really sure what metal is, metaltards usually correct me if I say what is and is not a metal band, but my favorite "metal" band was Slayer. I was like 11 when I purchased their CD album and listened to Slayer a lot growing up and playing games.
>>
I like some Metallica songs but they're like the "diet coke" of metal to me.
I like Slayer better, like this anon >>83952966 said and I'm not even a snob when it comes to metal music.

One of the greatest thrash metal albums of all time (which doesn't say all that much because thrash kinda sucks overall)

"Technique" in metal vocals is retarded and unnecessary
>>
I don't like thrash metal. The closest thing is I'll listen to is early death metal, which has a noticeable thrash influence. I prefer speed and technicality.

>ONLY listen to 40 year old stuff and nothing else
You know for likening themselves to be these free spirits and rebels metalheads sure are conform

They begin having a mid life crisis with their post black album period. They were older, they couldn't be dads in their 30s writing edgy lyrics anymore, they were slowing down by the black album and they wanted to experiment with southern rock, hard rock, bluesy rock.
The songs just weren't there, they'd have been better off just calling it quits and doing shows instead of trying to make borderline southern rock post grunge. Then St Anger, then trying to give fans what they want by giving them a watered down recycled version of their old material.

Nothing could have ever prepared me for how bad St Anger actually is
>>
>>83953702
The drum sound and how bad it was was overblown but every song is like 6 to 8 minutes with only 30 seconds to 1 minute of ideas that then get played to death. It is unlistenable because it is boring
>>
>>83952513
metal music is just bad period so it doesn't matter
