The "NEET" Gravity: The show captures that "gravity" of staying indoors perfectly-the way the TV starts talking to you and the conspiracy theories feel more real than the outside world.

No One is Coming: The hardest pill to swallow in the series (and in life) is that someone can hand you the map, but you still have to walk the path.

Why it Hits Different
Most media makes the "rehabilitation" of a shut-in look like a fun montage. NHK makes it look like what it actually is: sweaty, paranoid, embarrassing, and painfully slow. It's "pretty cool" now, but by episode 12, it might feel like the show is reading your search history.
