Here in the UK they first get you to try different doses to see what fits and if that still isn't working then they kinda switch you between a couple meds until you find the best fit. Medication works for at least 80% of people. So keep trying. When I first tried 30mg it did fuck all for me but after doubling it I was like wow. I'm still gonna try to go higher just to see because I still see a couple more things which could be improved but I'm already quite happy with the results.
been on antidepressants for over a year. started with zoloft then graduated to wellbutrin, eventually being prescribed 450mg. max dose. wellbutrin is not prescribed for adhd but it does act in a similar manner to adhd meds, it acts on dopamine and norepinephrine receptors as well, just in a diiferent way from what i understand.where im going with this is that i actually experienced the same effect of not beating my cock so much. i feel more in control now, not as impulsive. im not a neurologist, but i think it might have something to do with dopamine levels being extremely low without meds, so then our brains in order to feel it would resort to stimuli like porn to get the dopamine it needed. on meds the dopamine is regulated differently and in our case (if it's helping which it is for us both) benefits us, because now our brains don't resort to those activites for their fix.again, im not an expert. i could be completely wrong.

The simple possession of functioning legs isn't gonna turn you into an Olympic runner but you will now have the means to do so. Adhd is in the fullest sense of the word a disability because it does remove your ability to function so you can't even pull yourself up by your bootstraps. First thing I started doing is reading and spending more time with my family. It was pretty amazing and I felt like I was moving forward with my life.
Cure? No. It cures nothing. If you have to keep taking it, it's no cure. Now does it help? Fuck yes. I actually have my head on straight. I'm not juggling 2p things at once, not getting distracted, not over-stimulated, calmed down a lot, improved my mood and anxiety, etc. It's been a life saver for me. Thank you to the therapist who saw it in me, and got me tested. Now, the psychiatrist I see has me on a proprr medication regime instead of saying thst I have bipolar disorder, anxiety, and BPD, the shove a bunch of mood stabilizers that made everything worse. I'm finally moving on with life instead of stagnating, improving upon it. At least now I'm doing excellent in college (straight A's except for Stats class, which I got a B- in) unlike last time where I failed out when I couldn'tpay attention to lectures, take good notes, and couldn't read a fucking book without comprehension issues bevause I firgot after reading three words. Then had to work a few wagcuck jobs which I got fired from two due to my inattentiveness.Fuck people who say it isn't real. I'd love for them to be how I was then how I am now. Psyche meds arent a cure but can be a lifesaver (or a life ruiner) for people. I swear to god low dose tramadol absolutely stopped me from necking myself since it stopped the debilitating OCD thoughts which in turn lessened my chronic anxiety and autistic personality quirks completely turning my life around. Literally going from suicidal depression to chadish life enjoyer. I managed to stay on the same 100mg dose for about a year despite self medicating an addictive drug which I saw as more of a recreational drug, not a medicine. Things got out of hand when PST got popular unfortunately but I truly believe that if low dose tramadol was prescribed as an anti depressant before I became a drug nerd curious enough to play with fire. I wish our culture had a different relationship with psychoactive drugs, im not saying hard drugs should be as accessible as buying aspirin but weaker non/less addictive drugs should be sold in drinks like beer is.
