What exactly did he do wrong?
I was not familiar with him.

used his e-fame to get a gf and have sex.

Backstabbed the wizards by fucking a fattie.
Backstabbed the eighties by becoming a pro-censorship homosexual furry.
>>
>>84004868
He had sex. I didn't.

>>84005065
How did he even have sex as a chairbound cripple? Not even trying to be men, I'm genuinely curious as to how he managed to use his dick if his legs don't even work
>>
>>84005076
I don't know his condition, but just because he's in a wheelchair doesn't mean he's completely paralyzed it could mean he has limited leg function. He probably got laid onto a bed and she rode his tiny dick.

>realized he was wrong, got out, and did what he could to take down the monster he created.
Feel like it was kind of incredibly obvious how stupid this was the entire time which it seems someone kept trying to specifically convey to him as a warning for what chan communities do to the people who run them, but rest in peace either way.

I remember seeing the pictures of that party he had before he moved to the Philippines
Simpler times
I still don't really think he's responsible for what other people chose to do after browsing an English derivative of a derivative of an image board framework. I had a lot of good memories on the boards that had nothing to do with politics, personally. The whole site was basically just a blank canvas for anyone to paint what they wanted. He was in full compliance with US laws, it's Congress' job to determine what's legal and illegal, not his.
>>
>>84005184
Man, that was really funny when I chanted it at annoying trannies back on 2010 /r9k/.
>>
>>84005213
he literally launched a war against this site and moot specifically to funnel people to his chan. he didn't even come up with eightchan. wt snacks owned the name first. not that it requires much thought to double it.
>>
>>84005278
I don't remember that. I remember the site name got banned, but I thought that was because of people on /v/ and /pol/ spamming ads trying to siphon users off because they banned GG discussion, not anything HW himself did. That was like 12 years ago though so my memory isn't the best.

he specifically kept doing shit like this, man. the place was covered in ads with THIS MAN IS YOUR ENEMY [picture of moot] THIS MAN IS YOUR FRIEND [picture of hotwheels] and all sorts of shit about a war. the real problem here was that the janny team was split on gamergate with the general sentiment seeming to be "zoe quinn is a stupid bitch and it's funny watching them all do this, but will it ever end? this is so much work" up until they started repeatedly posting dox and calling in threats. even in the janny logs they show them sharing her porn to laugh about it before others step in to ask why the fuck they're doing this here, morons. when said jannies got more entrenched in the conflict, they started leaking internal communications and already had a nasty habit of leaking site and user info whenever they were annoyed, which immediately got them shitcanned and made moot who kept getting his sites hacked into and his funds drained (remember, both 4chan and drawquest were hacked the same day earlier that year and it was purported to be some sort of internal sabotage that involved draining funds he was using to keep drawquest running through its shutdown and had intended to donate to charity) even more paranoid than he already was. canvas networks was shutting down and the jannies were openly shittalking him in their channels, not a huge leap that they started leaking things about how he was a whiny bitch who didn't care about 4chan and hated its users or whatever it was they said.

one pretended to be "the former mod of /d/" (this place had had no dedicated board mods for a very, very long time by 2014) which they all laughed about.

There are Youtube videos instructing disabled people on how to have sex. I wouldn't recommend them, as they are sad

"So, apparently some renegade mod decided to leak some damning information to the shitchan's owner. He claims it's information that is bad enough to warrant a large chunk of the current user base here to leave. The guy is giving moot 24hours to reply, or he's releasing said information to the public."

this happened on jan 17 2015. moot released
>https://blog.4chan.org/post/108414215167/new-requirement-for-4chan-volunteers-going-forward
and was in the thread with the above op that same day. that's a tumblr link btw, so was his personal blog which he posted on the boards and referred people to about certain things like his personal views on recent site happenings and management, always thought it was amusing he used custom domains which obscured that even as everyone knew, and he was doing reddit ama's about 4chan at the same time (bitches there looooved him) and was hot shit, relatively speaking, prior to gamergate even as the rest of the website was rapidly gaining an even worse reputation than it already had in the preceding decade of existence.

these requirements specifically state:
>Volunteers are expected to hold in confidence any and all private information they come into contact with, especially regarding our users, and they are not to use or disseminate that information except to perform their volunteer duties.
>In addition to signing this formal agreement, we now require proof of identity from all volunteers, present and future. Why? So we can enforce the agreement should it be violated (ie. user information being misused, leaks, etc) and establish a liability barrier in between the company and its volunteers.

and required id to >do it for free and legal liability. people lost their FUCKING minds at this. frankly, it seems pretty clearly to me to be an effective gag order on whatever it was that was about to be leaked rather than the damning information of the leak itself. even the ensuing thread war acknowledges this.

>You acknowledge that in the course of performing the Moderation Duties, you may encounter or otherwise gain access to certain Proprietary Information of 4chan, and you agree to hold in confidence and not disclose to any third parties in any manner or medium whatsoever or, except in performing the Moderation Duties, use any Proprietary Information. "Proprietary Information" means all financial, business, legal and technical information of 4chan or any of its affiliates, suppliers, customers, users, contractors, owners, and employees (including without limitation information about user-posted content, personally identifiable information pertaining to users (such as but not limited to IP addresses, location, and cookie data), team member identities or nicknames (including without limitation other moderators, and regardless of whether such identities or nicknames are real-life or virtual), chat logs, orientation materials, legal or regulatory affairs, operations, marketing, transactions, inventions, processes, materials, data, know-how and ideas, whether tangible or intangible, and including all copies and other derivatives thereof), that is previously, presently or subsequently disclosed by or for 4chan to you or which is otherwise made available to you or which you learn in the course of performing the Moderation Duties.

still don't know why people lost their minds over this. it more or less says "stop leaking our internal conversations and do not fucking leak any user info" which should have protected both users and staff making everyone who wasn't leaking shit happy, but everyone else lived off the drama. not on the team btw hence >no gag order or pr training briefing. the fact that users revolted over the very idea that the people who had all their data were required to not disclose that and to show who they were was always strange, even if you don't want to get all conspiracy about it being inorganic. temporarily embarassed moderators, everyone.

Didn't he buy 420chan? I didn't pay attention to it afterwards. Is the site dead now?
