We are fairly polite, dignified, upper middle class whites, so as a matter of course we don't swear or use slurs unless the circumstances are severe, but they don't really bat an eye at swears or slurs. As a family we spent a lot of time living and working in largely Aboriginal country as well. "Nigger" is an uncommon slur to use when referring to aboriginals now, but it had historical usage. Nowadays most people say "noonga" or some variant.
i got mad and called my mom a nigger over text once and she didnt care just brushed it off was quite odd
