Not a fembot.
But most female gamers I knew had single moms who worked a lot and they got into Zelda and Final Fantasy while their mom was at work.
There wasn't a story like it.
Netflix at the time wasn't a thing and it cost money to rent each movie.
So $20 on a videogame that was over 100 hours to beat and addictive as fuck and had stories that weren't just hyper masculine dude bro kicking ass and had plots around feelings and emotions but wasn't girly fog shit and guys liked it to usually is what got them into it.

The first vidya I remember actually enjoying was COD mw3. I fondly remember playing the multiplayer on my xbox 360 with my childhood best friend after school. Instead of actually shooting enemies and shit like we were supposed to we would just use the maps to rp dumb shit when the map was clear from enemies and shit. I miss gaming in the 2010s so bad. It's still one of my favorite games and I wish I can play again
