Here's my own little wagie story. I spent 10 years working at different software companies. Working my ass off for a slave driver where nothing I ever did was good enough. I'd go to bed each day still thinking of work and get barely any sleep at all. And even though I made enough to eventually get a home, it wasn't before I got fired about 8 different times.If you think working is hard, try getting the job. I've probably done hundreds of interviews at this point. Due to my timezone being new zealand, I usually have to wait until 12 pm at night or 3 am, some horrible time, to be able to interview at any of these companies. I spend all this time doing interviews, searching for jobs, and so only, for the chance to do a tech job that I know I'll get fired from in about 3 - 6 months. Software fucking sucks. At this point I'm beyond burned out and haven't had a job in 2 years.At this point im leaning towards getting out of tech entirely. waging just makes you mentally and physically ill.
