Yes.Lost my basically dream job last year (only the retarded leadership and their stupid politics sucked) because of reorgs (aka politics) and got another job a month later. 25% pay bump. This is the fastest I've ever found a job in my life though. Now off probation and they love me. Bored to death though. But the work conditions are so good I feel disgusted at myself for complaining.

I have tried applying at company websites directly, and beside a good chunk of them just redirecting to linkedin a few years back (less common now), I never even got an interview.
