>>84026181feel you about the latter half, not so much the former. personally i came here from lurking the comment section on a cracked article and seeing people mention it in the context of something awful which i already knew about and refused to pay money for. i think i legitimately did immediately see cp when clicking /b/ and, being a child way back then, closed the computer and cried for a bit before coming back several days later. i was in some thread where moot was talking as he did often in the that era and got into it with a different anon because something they said pissed me off and it was surreal to see how every thread he showed up in got derailed into dicksucking or seething hatred, both of which were just cries for attention. think i had been posting in it too and was annoyed the discussion was now more or less over. anyway i think i started defending how bizarre it must be for him to see this shit happen on the website he made to trade anime porn and to grow up like that, something about feeling bad for moderation for them being so hated when literally all they were really doing was getting rid of the fucking cp to keep the site live, and that it seemed funny to me that anons thought they had the power in this scenario when he could ban them at any moment and everyone would laugh. it turned into 'you're clearly moot or a mod on anon' and me saying no why the fuck would i want to be a mod when they have to deal with kimmo and all of you and i think several of the recent decisions have been fucktarded and am not even paying attention to him in here, somehow this ended up with me getting almost as many replies as he was on each post so he poked in to question what i would have done differently and why, we went back and forth for so long the anons were whining he wasn't talking to anyone else, they got fixated on a supposed flirtation and were telling us to fuck, he pulled me over to /r9k/ to be able to talk, and i only left when the board was deleted.

i got addicted to gamefaqs message boards in the 90s when my mom got a work from home PC and let me play on it. anonymously shitposting became more fun than anything in my real life, so it naturally transitioned to places like irc, somethingawful, and then eventually 4chan. the worst era in this site was when bronies were on every board spamming. It was always bad, though.
