>>84046522i had a cat and she never bite or scratched me. the only time she did and didnt break skin was when she was losing her grip as the blanket slide and she instinctively used her claws to get some traction. it left a white mark but no blood. i had her for over 10 years before cancer took her. she was always so sweet and gentle with me. i miss her dearly. the family cat is still alive and she never scratched but when i play fight with her during visits she will "nibble" my hand pretending to bite me and it honestly tickles. she applies just the slightest pressure. its like her way of announcing that she's "technically biting me" so i have to pretend its impacting me during the play fighting. kind of like tag football or whatever its called. i see a lot of propaganda posts that cats tear their owners up but thats not from my experience. however i do understand cats have varying personalities so this could be the case for someone else.
