Was playing cyberpunk 2077 and saw a magazine stand. Do people still read magazines nowadays? other than seniors who read national geographic who buys porn mags or video game magazines nowadays?
>>84152351I live in a retirement town so magazines in stores are still a thing. They are in general making a comeback with gen-Alpha. (albeit somewhat performative) There's really something to be said about the atmosphere of Cyberpunk 2077, I don't think any other title comes close.
>>84152445honestly if there were a good magazines and anons recommend it id buy it. But i think most magazines are either for senior folks and ones for younget audiences have disappeared.
Computer Gaming Monthly and EGM were magic back in the late 90s / early 00s
>>84152351It's sad my dudes, magazines actually used to be pretty awesome. You could learn about cool stuff and read good short fiction. If you were into writing, the dream was to become a journalist writing stories for a big magazine. Take a look at an old National Geographic and you will be amazed at the difference.Nowadays, it has been wrecked by the tendency to include politics in everything, plus AI and the general softening of information. Haven't picked up a mag in years, wouldn't even buy one.
>>84152351I've never in my 26 years of life seen someone purchase a magazine, nor have I bought one myself. I don't even know how they stay in business.
>>84152351Idk. I had game informer for like a decade until the internet was just faster at getting me news than mags. Then i didn't dee the point. Game informer is still sellings mags though. I guess for collectors
Boomers aren't dead yet
>>84152856I remember collecting the lego magazines that would come into the mail
>>84152351i used to buy skate mags before they all went out of business. there were all kinds of cool magazines in japan. i think i came home with about 20 pounds of manga weeklies
