While I like some of the stand parts, 1 and 2 have never been topped for me.
7 came close, because 7 was really good, but I still like 1 and 2 more.
1 and 2 just *is* Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. It swerved off course and became a whole other franchise after that point.
Stand battling is more like Pokemon for grown-ups. The whole globe-trotting mystical martial arts Victorian world adventurer part gradually shifts out of focus.
