>32 years old>unemployed>finally hear back and get asked about availability>its for best buyive never worked retail everyone says it sucks i really need money but damn kind of sucks its gonna be best buy. anyone have any stories or know what it will generally be like? ive worked in several restaurants but never retail i hear nothing but horror stories about retail
Its not as bad as people. Customers can be annoying. Try to get along with your coworkers and it will be better.
Dealing with the general public, you will come to learn that no, the customer is never right.
>>84163330>>84163338Like I said I've worked in restaurants but I was always back of house so basically I didn't have to interact with customers it happened sometimes but I didn't have to If I didn't want to. The somewhat good news is the best buy is in a decent part of town so I don't expect too many ghetto customers
best buy is almost never busy and the customers aren't high strung and likely to ruin to your dayprobably an easy, cushy job
Best Buy is probably one of the better options since it's a tech store. You'll still have the typical retard, but most people coming in there already know what they want, there's less mess to constantly clean up (like having to fold a pile of clothes someone just threw in the corner), and in my experience in working in the electronics section before, people are more willing to listen when you actually tell them stuff about products, because the average person is tech illiterate to the point of not knowing anything, so they'll just trust you. As opposed to the customer acting like they know everything and fighting you about the most inane shit. The main Best Buy near me is always dead as shit too, which is good. I think you should go for it. Ideally you'd know at least a decent bit about tech.
