I think we were meant to be a migratory people, moving with the weather. The only problem is how to work on a mobile basis. I do woodworking and it would be impossible for me to do that on the road. But I still think we're not supposed to be stuck in one place for decades on end.
A man without roots is spiritually a woman. We were meant to settle in one place and build, innovate, and steward. In better times there were families who had never traveled more than 50 miles from home for generations.

Migratory yes, but nomadic no. The trapper lines and the gold rush is what made America and that was just them going back and forth, from settlements, not necessarily being nomadic, but it was pretty migratory.The problem is that all the land has been divided into these gay little states that have police who run around and puppyguard every single little thing.
