Cities are bad and dangerous, but maybe some people like having a taco restaurant with poor hygiene or pooinloo restaurants on every corner or whatever it is cities have. Mexican and jeet food is inedible garbage so it's not really a big draw. Chinese is super good but we have books now. If you like cities that's cool, genuinely happy for and jealous of you. I wish I liked things. I can only not like things, so decisions are primarily driven by avoiding bad stuff.

I was almost robbed at 2 am leaving my work place when I was in the car, there were two other separate occasions where cars would follow me and my dad in the middle of the night. My brother was robbed at a bank, my brother was chased on his scooter in another separate occasion but they stopped pursuing when he took out his gun and took refuge in some senior living home. Our house was almost broken into, a woman was stabbed to death by her ex husband just a few houses down our street. All of these events all happened in the later half of my life living on the north side near Jefferson park. Is Chicago better or worse when compared to other cities? I cannot tell you cause this city is the only place I've known. But I will tell you this, it's not a place that I feel safe walking at night. If circumstances force me to, I try to pick to walk along the busiest possible street.
