The way I recommend you do this is by avoiding caloric dense foods(sodas, cake, chocolates, anything fatty, literally any food has the calories printed on the back, if it's >250kcal/100g you probably shouldn't be eating it regularly if at all if your goal is weight loss). Technically you can keep eating shit foods and just eat less of it, it's doable, people always point out that cuck that lost weight eating only candy, but it's obviously unhealthy and you will feel hungry 24/7 and probably quit because shit foods aren't filling, 1000 calories of chicken breast or beans will keep you full for a whole day, 1000 calories of chocolate will cause insulin spikes and have you hungry within the next 3h.Anyhow, just reduce calories, then track your weight for a week(preferably daily after you wake up and pee). If you lost weight by the end of the week, congratulations, you've eaten below your TDEE, keep at it and you will keep losing weight.
