>>84169102Given the cutoff point for Mensa is rather generous 98th percentile, there's bound to be several in /r9k/. I've never applied to Mensa but I got tested for "very strong" cognitive ability with a test battery administered by psychlogist over several days. While the psych didn't give out an exact IQ score, I googled it out and found out "very strong" meant two standard deviations of 15 above average, which is the exact same cutoff point Mensa uses. I pondered whether to apply but I ultimately came to the conclusion that it'd be an ego thing, and my suspicion is that for many Mensans that is the case. I wouldn't really enjoy my time around people who wear their IQ (which is largely hereditary and out of your control) as some badge.
