Man let me tell you something I went to the store the other day just for milk that is it milk simple mission in and out
Forty five minutes later I am standing there holding a rotisserie chicken a pack of batteries and somehow a birthday card I do not even know whose birthday it is

And I am looking at the card like who am I emotionally connected to right now
Nobody but now I am financially committed

And why is milk always in the back of the store
They do not trust you that is what it is
You walk in for milk you pass cookies soda chips regret
By the time you get the milk you are like I deserve a reward

And do not get me started on self checkout
Self checkout is just a job interview you did not apply for
Unexpected item in bagging area
Yeah that is me I am the unexpected item

And there is always one employee watching six machines
You look at them like you going to help me
They look at you like you got this

No I do not that is why I never applied

And life does not slow down either
When you are a kid time moves slow
Now you blink it is Tuesday again
Every week got a Tuesday why

And your parents
When you are young you think they are dramatic
Turn the lights off close the door
Now you older you walk into a room every light is on
You turn into them

You standing there like who left this light on
Then you freeze
Oh no it is me I am him now

And your body betrays you too
You ever wake up injured from sleeping
I pulled something dreaming

But that is life
One day you arguing with a machine about bananas
Holding a birthday card for nobody
Turning off lights like it is your purpose

And somehow you still forgot the milk
