When was the last time you went a few weeks without a screen, anon?
the 90s
>>84169779Do you think you'd have the willpower to go a week? What would you do in that time? After the withdrawal. Everything becomes interesting again. It's euphoric.
>>84169765My job requires me to clock in via an app. Most social and medical services have some online elements. The luxury of being offline is no longer available to the working class.
>>84169789The rich have it better, yes, but its possible. I stay offline 4 days a week.
>>84169765Last year>>84169788True, it's like switching from hentai to porn.>>84169789I HATE GLOBOHOMO
>>84169765I don't remember. Maybe the early 2010s. Only screens make me happy. I'm so sad without my second reality.
>>84169765I'm in a cycle of instant gratification that I see no way out of
>>84169881End it by putting the screen down.
In January for 10 days.I've started in 2018 to make it an intentional point to stay away from screens at least 20 days a year.I also limited my screentime to 30hrs/week, excluding job purposes. I want to further reduce that to 10hrs/week and find a job that has less screen time too. It's doable and it's a good idea. But it's harder than it was 15yrs ago.
>>84169765Not completely without a screen, but similar. I moved a few months ago and only brought my laptop (old thinkpad) initially. Good enough for normal computer/internet things, but no games and it's kind of annoying to use for extended periods. It is nice to have a little break from internet-stuff but it is just boring if you don't have a lot of outside hobbies or hobbies you can't just do whenever.
