Danish blends are wonderful and about fifteen dollars US for two ounces, which is a LOT of bowls.There is, however, no mental clarity in the world like a nice Virginia tobacco. Try it literally one time in a pipe and you will see why the entire world shit their pants over it kekThe blend I mentioned is a good example for that.

I bought a decent starter pipe and a few samples of different recommended tobaccos, but they all just tasted like smoke to me, so not pleasurable. Maybe I'm just physically unable to perceive the flavors that make pipe smoking enjoyable?

>>84239660This can be for a few different reasonsFirstly, the taste of smoke is something that you acquire over time. A lot of people, like myself, smoked cigarettes when they were young so they experienced different flavors from different brands. And as you venture away from manufactured cigarettes to better tobaccos, you have a reference point for why the new is better. If you have never smoked before and have only ever smoked in this one context and have never been addicted to nicotine, it is definitely not as obvious of a difference.One other thing is quality of the blend. Unfortunately actual and good pipe tobacco is almost impossible to find brick and mortar. If you have some stuff off the shelf, it is probably all sort of meh and would taste the same, just like smoke, to anybodyLast thing is that it is very possible that you are burning it too hot and fast. That will wreck any nuance of flavor. Once trick to get it burning cool is after you get it lit, keep the pipe in your mouth and breathe normally through your nose. This keeps the bare minimum air flowing through to keep the ember alive. Then you take small intentional puffs every once in a while for the smoking experience. You breathe it gently like sipping a drink you might not like.
