>Car centric areas have higher rates of social isolation, loneliness, and depression Cars are the reason we are incels.

i hate driving but i refuse to live in some ugly apartment in a city, im sticking with the suburbs
>>84267324Agree, being the only faggot walking in a car centric city is humiliating
>>84267327>you MUST buy a metal death machine like all the other normies.>>84267332>walkingNice try faggot, I ride a bike.

>>84267340Riding a bike is even worse. Enjoy sharing the road with niggers that can swerve and kill you at any second then

>>84267324Roads should be bigger and everyone should be driving a monstertruck.
i think some cars are coolpic related i kinda want one but i dont have a license (i'm 29, in europe)
>>84267324>>Car centric areas have higher rates of social isolationI was raised in a relatively walkable city and I can confirm. Despite being socially isolated and weird, I found a sense of community thrust upon me without much effort on my part.
Nigger I'm an incel because I don't have a car.
>>84267377>Enjoy sharing the road with niggers that can swerve and kill you at any secondHey man, why the fuck did you say that?
>>84267324"Why is the automobile viewed as the ultimate symbol of freedom again?"

>>84267324leftypol doesn't even try anymore
Interesting theory. So if instead of having a car I had to ride a horse for 45 minutes to get to the nearest grocery store or gas station I'd have more social interaction with people? Well I guess we wouldn't have gas stations anymore, but the distance from town remains the same with or without cars. All that changes is the travel time.
>>84267324>guy who lives in center of the most bicycle friendly city in the worldthis guy pisses me off to no end. he's part of the top few who gets to live a cozy life, he wants cars banned to improve HIS life. what he doesn't get is that poorer people need them because THEY can't live inside the city.i've also see him make a ridiculous statement that he justified by literally saying "i have a degree, trust me" and nothing else
>>84267324Explain Japan then. The pinnacle of public transportation and yet the home of thousands of hikikomori neets, newsworthy suicide rates, and plummeting birth rates.
>>84268274>the distance from town remains the same with or without carsThe point is that if you don't have cars, then towns will naturally develop their own demands and satisfy them. People aren't calling for an end to cars, but an end to car centrism. >how is car centrism different from banning all carsLook at any big city in the US vs Germany for example. Germany has the fucking autobahn, but it still has large amounts of public transit in and between cities as well as the ease of walking and biking. Don't take this as black and white though, there are some good less car centric cities in the US and there are some more car centric cities in Germany, but the point still stands.
>>84268422Seems like that could only make life more expensive. Housing is cheap in America because cars are cheap. We don't have to pay $1,000+ monthly rents/mortgages like they do in Europe because a $5,000 car lasts for years and let's you get a much better house with much less people around compared to what you find in town/city/suburb. There's the time is money factor to consider of driving ten minutes to town and an hour to the city to get groceries or income, but until you're making over $200/hour it's unlikely to ever really come into play in any meaningful way.Even if we all lived in soviet style planned cities and 500 story apartment megaplexes I doubt I'd feel any less lonely. The problem isn't proximity to or the number of people encountered, 0% success rate in making friends is 0 whether you roll the dice a thousand times or a million. It's the fact incels are fundamentally unlikeable because of how their brains are wired. External environment changes can't fix internal environment problems.
>>84268422>The point is that if you don't have cars, then towns will naturally develop their own demands and satisfy them. People aren't calling for an end to cars, but an end to car centrism.>public transit walkable 15 minutes European cities >ack
>cars are sentient beings and it's cars that cause you to have to move out for an hour long commute, not air-dropped niggers
>>84268751I disagree with him but to be completely fair walking around Japan is probably more enjoyable than driving around America, even if it doubles the trip's travel time.
>>84268309>Explain Japan thenOutside of main cities it's usually more than one car per family. In flat and wide prefectures like Fukui for example without it you will be pretty isolated and the number of cars there is almost 1 per person. To understand the link with hikkikomori you just need to understand that the faggot OP watches a faggot creator. Has nothing to do with cars
>>84268756I blame the petrojew. We wouldn't have the cars or the airdropped niggers if we still put poop on dirt to grow food and used oxen to draw carts loaded with cabbage and turnips to the town market street. Bread would be cooked with real wood fires. Everything went downhill once oil came onto the scene.

Not Just Bikes guy has a radically impractical vision of a completely car free future but if you look around the world you see cars in every culture and every society because they are just too useful. You can get rid of 90% of the problems caused by cars though which are1. congestion/traffic2. dangerous for drivers, dangerous for pedestrians 3. parking lots eating up tons of real estate the conversion to entirely self driving cars solves all of these issues. At first it will mostly solve point 2, but they will start to become so ubiquitous that we can start regulating them down in size to something on the level of a micro car, taking up 1/3rd or even 1/4th the space of a traditional car reducing congestion especially when you can use computer automated routing, and in addition you no longer need parking lots cause private car ownership is a thing of the past.I think by 2050 or so youll have cities that are entirely self driving and dont allow private human driven cars on much of their roads, and by the end of the century all but the most rural areas will have abandoned human driving entirely.
>>84268848If that happens I'm going to marry an Indian woman just so I can eat the vile victuals they call food every day. A deluge of diarrhea unleashed inside every self driving citymobile my ass goes near. Instead of of carpooling it will be carpooing. Commies can fuck themselves, better brown than red.
>>84268848Problem with cars are carless lefitst manchildren. They don't have cars and cope seeth because of that and in usual leftist fashion "If I can't have that nobody should" go on crusade against cars. That can be fixed with universal basic car supplied to those manchildren (for free like free healthcare so society wouldn't take additional expenses).
>>84267324Isolating from culturally enriching niggers is a good thing, retard>t. Proud old minivan owner
>>84268922Doesn't even have to be free, just something like what Hitler did. It makes no sense for every company to release 3+ new vehicles every year. Once every fifteen or 20 years would make more sense, keeping parts interchangeable between all vehicle types from every year and every manufacturer keeps parts cheap and vehicles would cost next to nothing since less is wasted on small parts runs, R&D, engineering, and marketing.
>>84269015VW still does this. Being a huge corporation they just change the style of the body a little while placing it on the ol same platform and call them different trademarks. i.e. Audi A1-A3, maybe 4 (used to be) is the VW Golf with an Audi logo. Larger are more like Phaeton or something.
>>84268751This image right here says it all. The biggest determinant in your quality of life is the amount of time you spend at work, and your commute is just unpaid work. I want to be into urbanism, but having a car just makes your life so much better.

>>84267324>Cars are the reason we are incels.that's just plain retarded The incel epidemic would probably be worse without cars since walking everywhere exposes ugly manlets to the view of the general publicWomen will walk passed you and think you're a creep or a loserCities in general suck for many reasons besides car dependency
>>84270193i love cities but i would never go back to not having a carif you don't have a car then you're basically a child begging for a ride everywhere you go and are completely at the mercy of other people being on time and not fucking upyou also can't go to many places or have to take a very indirect route
>>84267331there are no pleasant cities to live in for the United States. That's why car culture exists here. That's why people are willing to drive 40 mins from the suburbs just to work or do shit. That's why highways and interstates still being built. That's why car dealerships aren't going any where. That's why car registration is still a thingThats why parking tickets are still a thing.Thats why car insurance is so expensive. That's why car maintenance is expensive.
