Democrats consistently build cities that erase the middle class and evaporate any actual production capabilities and innovation. They quite literally create fake & gay cities propped up by taxpayer money and rich donations. How are some of you not embarrassed to call yourself lefties?
>>84270587Democrats are a coalition between the super rich and desperately poor.
>>84270587Ronald Reagan destroyed the American middle class.
>posts statistics with NO FUCKING CONTEXT on why I should even careSmartest /r9k/ analyst. Which city? Income brackets are based on what? Did democrats control that same city interrupted for 47 years?
>>84270615What did Ronald Reagan do?LBJ started the great society, and used the Hart Cellar act to change immigration to primarily non-white since the 1960s, so that Democrats could get a poor working underclass as their voterbase. He gave welfare to single mothers so long as the father of their children is not in the home, encouraging the sky high single motherhood rates we see today
>>84270587yes correctthis is what socialism createsyou see it happening in parts of europe toopeople only point to exceptional cases like norway who are playing with cheat codes for why it somehow should work everywherethey create corruption, class immobility, and poverty
>>84270587Not that democrats are great, but I feel this is more so correlated with the gradual hollowing out of American manufacturing capabilities due to things like NAFTA and outsourcing to Asia. The reason cities grew in the first place was due to jobs in manufacturing. Once the federal high way system was functional, and trucking became reasonably affordable, companies were able to move their jobs back out to the countryside (and away from people in the city who were prone to unionizing and shit). But now, there's not even a reason to build your factory in the countryside when China pegs it's currency so far below the dollar and all of Asia has spent decades investing in manufacturing infrastructure. What can you even do in a city to make capital anymore as a normal person? Not everyone can work in finance or software engineering. There's not a enough service jobs and they don't pay enough to ensure everyone makes enough money. And the entire system operates on giving away millions every month to vampiric landlords. There's no room for innovating the way cities work. Between the ineffectiveness and limits of city governments, the personage of corporations, and the requirements of the people living their to cough up most of their pay check for rent of get evicted the people who live in cities and who are unfortunate enough to not have a tech/finance job are doomed to be modern day serfs. They live, breathe, and eat in service of paying tax to the city and rent to the landlord with no opportunity to improve their lot in life.
>>84270637And 4channers wont talk about the obvious gentrification implied by said graph but will blame muh left side right side politics.
>>84270587Democrats do this not because they are too left wing, but because they are a neoliberal Capitalism party. If they were actually leftists, they wouldn't do this. Unfortunately America is a country completely controlled by capitalist interests.
>people in thread accepting Xitter graph at face valueThis generation is cooked...
>>84270639Well Ronald Reagan banned a lot of guns do that already puts him in Antichrist level for me
>>84270637What context would explain California turning into a parallel society where you have the super rich, the mega poor, and no middle class people?
>>84270587What a bunch of sissy losers I'll never vote blue ever
>>84270587A foreign class of parasites that have a golden parachute called Israel like this arrangement OP
>>84270700Assuming that democrats are the only involved in this is disingenuous. Both parties are involved in the destruction of the American middle class. Also what seems to me like gentrification (rich people displacing poors by raising property taxes, look at the area which went from poor to rich), things like white flight and middle class whites opting to move to the suburbs
>>84270700Also, is this California?
cities are unaffordable because rich people want to live there, it's more of a social problem than a political problem. it's called gentrification btw
>>84270763Strangely, this problem somehow doesn't exist in Japan and Korea
>>84270753Yes, the map in OP is a map of California, and it describes what people are saying
>>84270781I find it hard to believe Tokyo and Seoul aren't prohibitively expensive to live in. there are plenty of affordable cities that rich people don't want to live in in America and Canada too, though
>>84270750Utah, Alaska, Wyoming, and New Hampshireconsistently rank as the U.S. states with the lowest income inequalityCalifornia and New York consistently rank as the US States with the highest income inequality.Utah, Alaska, Wyoming and New Hampshire are red states. California and New York are Blue States.
>ITT people can't even recognize what is clearly a map of Chicago >the text in the image even says the study was done by the University of Illinois at Chicago And I'm supposed to take your analysis seriously?
>>84270587Tell me you don't know economics without telling me economics:My god right wingers are actually RETARTED. They don't understand anything the talk about or try to learn. It's just a sports game with teams.
>>84270801doesn't that just mean democrats make better cities?
>>84270801Dude you ARE STUPID HAHAHAHHA. Say that again with confidence PLEASE I actually laughed at this thank you
>>84270801>Utah, Alaska, Wyoming and New Hampshire are red states. California and New York are Blue States. You already failed because we're talking about individual cities, not states as a whole. Compare a red city within california to a blue city in california. Also, once again, WHICH CITY?
>>84270801>income inequality in Wyoming is less than that of California >this is clearly an indication that Wyoming is a better place to live, and not that EVERYONE who lives there is dirt poor Come on man, you could have at least picked, idk, Tennessee or something.
>>84270805I dont live in Chicago and just because the study is by the University of Chicago, doesn't mean it's Chicago. So it's actually Chicago and not California like the lying kikes in the thread implied? The city with huge mob ties and corruption across the political axis? Ah, but blame le red team blue team...
>>84270811If high income inequality means you are building great cities you should try moving to Brazil
>>84270837https://voorheescenter.uic.edu/chicago_communities/Yes, it's Chicago.
>>84270674there is no reason to suck middle class dick over anyone else though. there's just a lot of propaganda that paints middle class as the main character demographic. you're more likely to be poor anyway
>>84270816You are just laughing, you aren't disputing any of the points. You aren't saying>Well actually California and New York don't have high income inequalityYou aren't saying>Well actually Utah Alaska Wyoming and New Hampshire don't actually have low income inequalityYou didn't even say >Well actually Utah Alaska Wyoming and New Hampshire are blue states not red statesInstead you said>You are dumb, no I will not elaborate
>>84270825It seems like some people think we are talking about income inequality in the state of california, while other people think we are talking about income inequality in the city of Chicago.
>>84270899i assume if the claim is that dems built the city it's Chicagocall me back
>>84270587>democrats... leftiesOh yeah, the US democrats are sooooo far left. Those policies they have of supporting the bankers, supporting the MIC, denying healthcare, and keeping the minimum wage low are just radically leftist. The difference in economic policy between Trump and Biden is like 10% maybe, aside from Trump's pointless tariffs that he made up.
>>84270916we live in a world where people get free money for no reason and people still unironically post this lol
>>84270916Democrats seem to have moved farther to the left.Abolishing the police seems like a radical policy, and was a central policy motivating left wing voters during 2020.Democrats seemed to be worshipping black people, and changing the rules so that they wouldn't apply to black people.
>>84270931Welfare has been a thing since 1935. The Trump administration gives out billions of dollars in welfare and food stamps. You aren't anchored in reality and you believe what the internet tells you.
>>84270984it boggles my mind that people think capitalism is real.
>>84271048...why don't you have a seat with us
>>84270587https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_by_adjusted_per_capita_personal_income_(2022)California is ranked #13 even adjusting for high cost of living, and the top half is dominated by blue states while the bottom half is a red sea.
>>84271054lil bro is seatmaxxing
>>84270587Because those lefties tether themselves to those fake cities for money off the backs of everyone else
>>84270801NH went blue for for the past 6 elections + none of those low Gini states have some kind of major metropolis with a big economy to contrast with the rest. Louisiana and Mississippi are both red and more unequal than CA btw.
>>84270639He amnestied millions of illegals and offshored a fuckton of American industry with free trade bullshit. He also approved of the CIA funding terrorists in Latin America by selling crack on American streets which caused an enormous amount of crime. And as governor of California helped start the movement to close mental hospitals which caused a surge in homelessness and drug abuse. It's safe to say that Reagan was the beginning of the end for the American experiment (George W. Bush was the death of it, and Trump is the final nail in the coffin).
>>84271068still, California doesn't have a middle class. but also there aren't that many rich people, they are just easy to pay attention to since they do most of the consumer purchasing and are everywhere online. per capita cuckoldry ignores most important things about income, because in poor areas housing is basically free or subsidized. there are places in india where you might make the equivalent of $5 a day but live and eat for free, which "middle class" californians spend 70% of their income on. https://statisticalatlas.com/state/California/Household-Incomehttps://usafacts.org/answers/how-many-households-in-the-united-states-spend-too-much-on-housing/state/california/
>>84271124NH has a republican trifecta
>>84270916Democratic Party platform is left of UK Labour. On for example trannies Democrats are more left than socdem parties in most liberal Scandinavian nations.
this is actually a problem of extreme upward mobility. it's just that more rich people creates more poor people too because that's how wealth hoarding has to work.
>>84270984Doesn't sound like true capitalism has been tried in 90 years
>>84271242>tranniesIf trannies factor into any aspect of your life besides pornography, you aren't worth the paper you vote on.You should be actually concerned with long-term wealth accumulation unless you want to be part of a long line of peasant failures doomed to meaningless toil.
Do people think SF, Seattle, DC, and NYC are the only cities? These cities have the most high-paying jobs in the country by a huge amount. Not building homes is uniparty in these cities and is 98% of the reason they're unaffordable. 98% of the reason is zoning laws and parking spot requirements. It'd really be very easy to solve the housing crisis if boomers weren't subhuman and young people actually voted.
Wealth being sapped from Democrat cities is because of Republicans running the federal government.Simply kill all Republican politicians, and all of America's problems will be solved.
