Do people around you know you're Autistic?
>>
I think they're starting to suspect.
>>
>>84272646
NTS yes and they exclude. Autists do and we either hate each other or connect. People with ADHD don't... For some reason alot of the time? Maybe they just aren't paying attention no pun intended. But when they catch on they see it as an exciting opportunity to unleash the adhd

Definitely, it's pretty blatant
>>
>>84272658
as someone with adhd i only see humans as vessels to send waves of my thoughts to, some more or some less
>>
My coworkers 100% know I'm autistic.
>>
what the FUCK did I do to Underoath to deserve this?
>>
>>84272646
>nobody knew i was autistic at work
>someone who bullied me as a child finds out i work there, tells their friend who works there that I'm autistic
>within a month i get fired with a list of reasons that are literally just descriptions of autistic behaviour
>almost all are things that did not happen
>it's currently at state level management if i get my job back

"So, you claim that he constantly uses inappropriate language, can you give us an example?"
"uh, well he would frequently use language that isn't appropriate for the work place"
"OK, uh, can you give us an actual example?"
"No, we'd rather not repeat it"
"...you actually have to list the specific incidents, along with direct quotes"
"At one point he said he was right behind me, and as a woman, that really made me uncomfortable"
"What was the context?"
"The context actually makes it worse"
"ok, then tell me the context"
"This is really making me uncomfortable, as a woman, he needs to learn to be careful about what he says, he comes off as creepy"
"you are aware that he is Autistic, and autistic people often come off as strange, that's a protected characteristic of his disability"
"This is the first i've ever heard of him being Autistic, and that's not a defence for this behaviour"
"you've been told on four occasions, including by me, in an email you replied to, and you really need to check the disability act"

State management is probably going to transfer me, but it's been hours of meetings where the people who fired me are aggressively vague so i can't even respond to their accusations. they've started just crossing out accusations and writing "refuses to give example". yesterday they came up with 15 pages of examples of me not having appropriate eye contact and "bizarre facial expressions that make people uncomfortable" and the person managing this spent an hour reading it, with his head in his hands. he said this is the dumbest thing he's ever seen.

this is why we as neurodivergants should only interact with each other in an interpersonal basis. pwadhd can mask slightly better but if youve ever been around one and a nuerotypical they despise conforming more then us. we autists dont need to hoop through a hundred social games to get something done. all nuerotypicals do is make us feel like shit, laugh about it and find a way to do it again.
>>
>>84272646
Yes. Even worse is that I am an attractive, in shape autist. They immediately compliment my body, say I'm jacked, but once they realize IDK how to fight and would have to tard rage to be a threat suddenly they get more ballsy. Had 1 fat bastard who looked like John Wayne Gacy in an estimator job try to intimidate me that he knew BJJ until another sperg who actually did know told me fats was full of shit.

Best thing you can do is engage is simple, polite, neutral forms of conversation. Have like 10 different believable reasons you can call upon as to why you will NEVER socialize with them outside of working hours. Learn to negotiate your pay and never talk to your boss beyond that.

>>84272817
Protip: Never take shrooms as an aspie as you will never be able to mask again.

>>84272646
yes
normals can always tell within seconds

>>84272922
Im the guy who made that comment
>>84272728
I have a decent body but still have the autistic face and voice
>>
>>84272646
Yes dumb fuck, why the hell else would i be here?
>>
>>84272646
I've only told one friend and that was 10 years after getting a diagnosis
>>
>>84272728
This is like my worst nightmare
>>
I feel like I can't be honest with neurotypicals. They gossip about other people right in front of me and try to get me to join in and it's just so fucking weird I hate it. I know anything I tell them in good faith they're going to twist around in some fucked up way. I just want to say the truth and be genuine but I'm forced to play this pretend game to not freak people out I guess.
>>
>>84273353
Once it goes beyond the branch manager, you're dealing with proper professionals who don't play favourites. suddenly "he gives me the creeps" needs to be explained.
>>
>>84273438
lol, just gonna have a reputation amongst the company as someone who's not a team player.
>>
>op literally edited the caption of the image just for this thread
>>
>>84272646
They probably assume such things, I tell em I got ADHD
>>
Yeah, it's kind of obvious. Makes it funny in retrospect that nobody ever cut me some fucking slack if it was always so obvious. I guess it made me strong? It made me alone too though

I've been harassed by coworkers and fired for bullshit too, anon. Sorry it got that passive-aggressive. I almost prefer a beef to be more overtly violent just so I have valid reason to pack my shit and skip town....that's happened. A couple times in fact.
>>

>Makes it funny in retrospect that nobody ever cut me some fucking slack if it was always so obvious
If anything, you are expected to be perfect at all times. Other people get away with a lot of poor behaviour against you they justify by pointing out your disability
>>
>>84272646
Yeah. It has always caused me to get mobbed by people wherever I go. I hate not being NT so much.
>>
>>84273798
It feels like everyone either hates me or thinks I'm a literal retard because of it. It's frustrating because I am pretty functional. I don't always pick up on social cues but I don't need to be spoken to like a child.
>>
>>84273407
I overheard my coworkers talking about how they would be scared to be alone with me even though I have worked shifts with only one other person multiple times.
>>
>>84273833
my coworkers said the same thing about me, but in an "oh god i have to be alone with him for any amount of time" kind of way
>>
>>84273831
I have a masters degree and am working through another one part time. But people hear my voice and assume I'm retarded.
>>
>>84272646
People can tell I am a sperg so they try to be passive aggressive to illicit a retard tantrum out of me or repeat gossip they heard about me in an attempt to scare me but its funny how mad most of them get when I joke back with them.
>>
>>84273853
I kinda know the feeling. I have ADHD which can make it tough to keep my train of thought. I also have a very rural accent. Whenever I have to deal with my ISP they assume I don't know anything about computers and networks and such. It slowed the process down a lot when I was having internet troubles because they were fine sending out a new router for me to do a swap myself when I first contacted them. But then they heard me speak and went "Oh. No, we can't send YOU one, you have to wait for a technician." It's very frustrating.
>>
>>84273407
>I feel like I can't be honest with neurotypicals
they are never honest, they always lie. So when you tell the truth, they assume you are lying and implying something else. They are barely connected to reality and make up things in their imagination constantly

Good fanfic. You should write whatever happens after Zoobles ultimatum.

>>84273894
I like the o-oh because it almost looks like an emoji of her facial expression while saying that
>>
I'm grateful everyone in my environment knows autism isn't a thing.
>>
>>84272646
Yes I've always been very open about it after a girl got mad when I wasn't looking at her when talking.
>>
>>84272646
If they do they don't tell me
>>
>>84272646
>Do people around you know you're Autistic?
Pretty much. They know I am weird, bright, but totally unemployable in this miserable service economy.
I've NEETed over 7,200 days. Yet I still cannot get a formal diagnosis. Asked my GP for one and waiting years for someone else to get back to me.

>>84272646
Almost instantly, afterwards they even brought it up
