What bothered me was the constant bullying by well off people who took pleasure in making me feeling like shit by asking me each year where our family went on vacation, since they knew we couldn't afford much besides the basic necessities. What kind of piece of shit do you have to be to take pleasure in embarrassing other, less well off people? Why are these rich people so miserable with their own lives that they have to pick on poorer people to make themselves feel better about themselves? I think seeing me happy while being poor made them seethe or something. I had people get mad at me for "smiling so much". Growing up in upper middle class must be pure hell. Jesus Christ.
