Imagine you go out with a person you're not dating yet, but interested in doing so. What's the average experience of situations like that?

you might start to date them then

No clue, have never been interested in "dating" per se.
Like many losers here in my fantasies the deed is done and dusted and I'm already living together with a qt gf

Soul-crushing. I spent years min-maxing everything I could on multiple dating apps to finally match with one woman.
We went out for drinks and she was pretty nice and good-looking but a total normie.
I had to talk about superficial shit and pretend to care about random gossip all evening.
After that I stopped using dating apps and I haven't bothered pursuing women since, it's just not worth it.
I've never met a woman who I felt could genuinely be a friend.
