I could've gone to a pretty good university to study CS but I felt way too lazy and dumb for its math and instead went to a polytechnic college for IT (which also has prestige but not as much as a federal university over here). This makes me feel like a retarded loser sometimes but then I remember I'd most likely not survive at uni anyways. That said, did you get tertiary education, anon? What degree? Do you regret it?

Is there some type of psyop going on encouraging everyone to go into CS? I don't get it. How about becoming a plumber? How about stop looking for the easiest, laziest options.
>>84299532>anon? What degree? Do you regret it?I got CS. The math wasn't that bad. standard math for most cs unis is calculus, discrete math, stats/prob, linear algebra. i think any average iq person can do those courses desu, it will just require effort. I don't regret. It was enjoyable to me. I want to go back for a masters possibly. Yes, I know AI is a thing, but I just enjoy learning the theory because i am a nerd.
>>84299730>psyop going on encouraging everyone to go into CS? I don't get it.The psyop is over. It was the learn to code movement. There isn't a high demand entry level people anymore when you can just give AI to seniors to increase throughput. get the top talented juniors for whatever entry level roles are left, give them AI. no longer need 1000 juniors, maybe 10.
>>84299532I went to one of those "videogame design schools". It was actually pretty nice, people are like you, furries walking around unmolested (in 2010). But one bullying incident and I felt too scared to go on.
>>84299718thank u fren>>84299730i live in a shithole so trade school isn't really an option if you wanna make decent money but yeah, i don't get why so many people in the first world push it so hard, over here it's obviously due to the high paying jobs but it doesn't seem to be the case for you guys>>84299755i hope things go well in your masters degree if you decide to take it, anon
>>84299789did said incident happen to you? i'm also a bit confused, by school do you mean like hs or college?
uni doesn't really matter, as long as you understand what you're doing you can get a good job
>>84299814that makes me chill a bit anon, thanks. it's just that i actually got accepted and everything so i often look at some of my friends who took the oportunity and wonder if i fucked up but at the end of the day i believe it's more about understanding and practicing and not so much about theory
