i feel like my mother never actually wanted me to be independent. she always says I should get my shit together and "act more my age" but if i look back everytime i tried to exert any sort of free will as a kid i'd be shut down by her

>>84303140Similar story. This is why I retreated into videogames. Any thing I did in real life parents intervented "to help make it right". So I stopped do anything in real life. Videogames they didn't understand and didn't intervented (besides dont liking it and general nagging to stop wasting so much time with a computer).
