Why does no one talk about Andrew Yang anymore? He was a presidential candidate for the Democratic Party back in 2020 and then nothing. What happened?

It's not 2020 anymore anon. People stopped talking about Bernie sanders Jeb bush Vivek Ramashwamy and Ted Cruz as well

He was never a serious candidate

High inflation made people realize UBI was a bad idea

UBI would have to be adjusted according to inflation.

Rather have a gook than a Muslim democrat like mamdani

A flavor of the month meme candidate from nearly a decade ago. Rightoids were accusing him of being a CCP plant before he got btfo in the primaries and faded into irrelevance.

What does that mean?
Supply and demand raised prices during Covid. People were sent checks for their jobs without actually working. So you had the supply of goods going down while demand remained the same because of government cash, with the balance causing prices to rise. Saying UBI would be adjusted to inflation would cause an inflation spiral, as the higher UBI goes, the more people are discouraged from the work force, which lowers the supply of workers, raising prices, which triggers another increase to UBI which discourages more people from working which leads to higher prices ad infinitum

He's a charisma black hole that's why.

He didn't have any answers to anything other than UBI and his vision for international politicking was virtually non-existent. A bad look for a president.

He mostly existed to force the competition to react to UBI and defend their economic policies.

Meme and/or chink psyop, bredda

>why aren't you talking about this past tense reject of the red team vs blue team charade
Man I wonder; huge mystery.

It makes me sick that he gave up on UBI for burgerland. If they do it, we Eurocucks would do it.
It's the only salvation for autists who cannot work these awful service jobs, since the economy was gutted for Red China since 2001/2008.
Sure, I get 'bux, but it's conditional and never permanent. I'm happy to live a frugal life.

I'm not even American but I kind of liked him and followed his campaign closely.
He was totally right about AI, but too early (not too early to act, just too early to screech about in media). His campaign did many things right and many things wrong and there's a lot to learn from it if you're a politico.
I'm ultimately not very sad that he ate shit cuz he ended up being an establishment democrat (cuck on every issue) but with 30% cool ideas.

I miss Yang Gang

That's not how it would play out. Inflation is caused by concentration of wealths, 1k dollars a month isn't going to trigger run away inflation. but the stores would instead just choose to raise prices of everything anyway because they know you have an extra 1k dollars and will die without the food from the store and nobody is going to stop them. A better way to achieve the same result would be a program that ensures 100% employment with a guarantied living wage.
>>
>>84305330
you assume that a modest UBI like Yang proposed discourages people from working/starting businesses, which is not the case going by studies done in various places. Yang's UBI was kinda austeritymaxxed/chuddy too, because it meant getting to pick between the 1000 yangbucks and certain other entitlements that already exist.
anyway the inflation fearmongering is such a cope. you got inflation anyway with no UBI. you're gonna keep seeing inflation go up for the rest of your life, UBI or not.

What happened to the Yang Gang?
