thanks anon

i'd say just go for it anon. the learning curve is hard but its fun. you dont have to spend too much money either, just get one of those shitty guitar and amp combos from amazon.

very cool anon, i decided to learn it on guitar too just to step out of my comfort zone since i dont play this kind of music. sorry if its a bit scuffed

nice progression, you ever listen to the sleepwalk, OP? kind of reminds me of radiohead + that.

I might riff over it later. I encourage other anons to do the same, could be fun to make a song together. if anyone does, include a link where I can download whatever you added on its own. if we get enough parts I'll whip up an arrangement and turn it into a track.

yea when it comes to music stuff, cheap combo packs are almost always a bad idea. still, everyone has to start somewhere. it's easier to build discipline and enjoy the process when you're using gear you actually like, though. if I had a kid that wanted to learn guitar, I'd get em a squier, a zoom ms-50g, and an older, used, barebones practice amp from a reputable brand. that would cover pretty much everything you need and sound decent for under 500 bucks. there's still plenty of good options out there despite the market being kind of fucked lately.

i mean yeah it obviously wouldnt be good gear, but as a beginner i feel like you dont really need good gear. just whatever you can learn on, and the cheapest way to get into playing electric guitar would probably be one of those combo packs. but of course if you're willing to spend more money i would suggest to at least get a squier and a decent beginner amp.

never heard of them, but the song you linked is cool. i like that type of music a lot, especially obscure stuff like that. do you know if they're on spotify? cant seem to find them on there

that would be cool, im not really good at coming up with anything other than chord progressions so i'd be interested to see what other anons can add to it

no need to apologise anon, what you posted sounds sick. wish i could play like that desu
