I like clubs where the music is actually the focus, though social media has made those worse over the last 10 years bc normies have easy access to pretty much everything now. gatekeeping was necessary imo and I feel we've lost cohesive subcultures bc it's not really a thing anymore unless you're going to DIY warehouse raves. those are increasingly thrown by zoomers who don't really have many cultural reference points outside of tiktok and pinterest though, so they're often pretty cookie cutter. I guess normie saturation is good for the clubs themselves tho. it just sucks going to a place with actual good DJs or artists, a proper soundsystem, great lights and decor, and meanwhile 80% of the crowd is normies standing around acting like it's one of those "museums" you go to take retarded selfies at. more and more clubs around me have no phones on the dance floor policies but normies still ignore them and they're not as well enforced as they should be.

A friend of mine used to drag me into clubs all the time when we were young. Sometimes he even managed to convince me I'd meet a chick. It was always miserable bullshit. Shitty loud music, shitty stupid attention whores, the same herd of women drawing attention to themselves so they can reject men and feel hot. There's always a couple of fake lesbians dancing with each other for attention. They love love love the attention. They don't enjoy hardly any of the men at all, but they still want their attention.

It's crowded, hot, the drinks are overpriced... You can't even talk to anyone. Back then I wasn't even drinking much. But I found that if I got drunk enough women would actually dance with me for some reason.

Anyways, it was a complete waste of time as I didn't have a place to bring a girl back to nor a car to drive them in.

Clubbing is just for annoying attention whores. My friend forced me to go to one and I left after 15 minutes. Maybe because I don't like drinking because I tried it a few times when I was a teen and adult and it tasted gross or maybe because it was crowded, loud, and sweaty.
