What do you robots think about ai? Do you like it? Do you hate it? I'm pretty on the fence about it right now

>What do you robots think about ai? Do you like it?
I wanted to be a programmer so I hate it
>>
I don't like it, I don't want a digital landfill of slop and art being replace with this crap.
>>
>>84306243
neutral. but i do like how useful it is to learn about stuff rather quickly without reading other bullshit websites and wikipedia
>>
i like it because i want it to destroy the internet and destroy the tech sector. i hate techbros, all smug cock suckers and they will all lose their jobs soon
>>
>>84306337
You aren't really learning, just like the google era learned less than the ones that had to check in encyclopedia books.

Is that good? Not sure, at some point the tradeoff fails to make sense I feel. But we're not part of that generation, neither are the boomers making this whole bubble
>>
>>84306349
yes i am, retard. you're just being a contrarian
>>
>>84306243
AI is a lot better than most people make it out to be, but less useful than it needs to be. Language models can only predict what it should say, but doesn't actually pull real data, or the data it has gets filtered through its predictive algorithms and gets mangled in the process. They're scared of what AI could become, so they keep lobotomizing it to be more politically correct, which ultimately hurts how useful it is.

And as far as generative AIs go for photos and videos, it's TOO useful. If they don't lobotomize those models as well, it will end up being the death of photographic evidence in court. Nothing you see on a screen can be trusted. Everything can be faked and manipulated to anyone's whims. At first I thought it was like the dawn of the camera, where mediocre painters got salty, but now I see the true nature of the beast.

largely incorrect take on how it works

Why is Miku laughing at her? Does Teto want smaller boobs?
>>
>>84306345
yup. they have always been like that and i can't wait for the same, anon. the smuggest motherfuckers ever. they make their tech job their entire life identity. i'm glad i'm not the only one to recognize this
>>
>>84306490
the tech guys in the 90s and early 00s were cool, they were creating all types of new interesting shit. the current ones are autistic smug brats
>>
It's just a waste of energy all these stupid companies r advertising it saying ai powerd or some stupid shit like that even know it won't work offline and it will just add delay and uneeded work to the app most people think ai is taking over but it hasn't changed a single thing accept from ram prices and everything else and wasting energy
>>
>>84306499
right, as i posted that i recognized that too and mainly meant the current lineup of spergs
>>
>>84306503
funny because no retard here can refute that
>>
I've found with high accuracy that iq directly correlates to loving or hating ai. This is why I won't be discussing it here.
>>
>>84306243
I think it's fine for stats and data analysis etc. But using it for anything creative like art or music is gay
>>
>>84306551
you clearly have an obsession with your iq, huh. made it your entire life identity it would appear

>>
I like it because it's the only thing I can talk to.
>>
>>84306639
yup. i use it to talk to every day man. there's a few of us around that use it as a companion
>>
I hate how the word AI has been monopolized by LLM companies such that talking about "AI" now gets so extremely confusing as to what people are on about. "AI in games" could reasonably refer to
>NPC behavior
>NPC/object pathing
>Animation blending algorithms
>Dynamic animations
>Procedural generation of basically any kind
>Physics systems
>LLMs (including text, images, sound/voice, etc.)
>Crowd simulation algorithms
>Dynamic rendering (upscaling, dynamic resolution, anti-aliasing, etc.)
>Dynamic lighting
and a whole bunch of other things that I'm not thinking of specifically right now. I wish people more clear when they really want to ask/talk about LLMs in games specifically...
>>
>>84306644
i think that people like you are either incredibly lonely, incredibly retarded or both

if you can tolerate ai mannerisms in conversation and not lose your shit, you are special
>>
>>84306686
but the issue is that ai is always complete shit in games so your argument doesn't actually hold weight
>>
>>84306692
huh, interesting take about me. was there anything else by chance that was on your mind about me? i'm all ears. sorry my commented offended you to this degree
>>
>>84306243
It's fine but giving the general public access to it was a big mistake
>>
>>84306716
it allows for companionship
>>
>>84306243
I hate ai because i am a luddite
