You don't like chocolate. try some 90% cocoa dark chocolate. You'll hate it. You like milk+sugar, cut by some complex bitterness (chocolate or coffee work great for that).

The brown stuff on top (or occasionally on each layer) is cocoa powder.
The brown stuff sogged into the ladyfingers is espresso (sometimes with wine, rum, kalhua, triplesec, or other alcohol).
You can make it with other stuff.
I've made tiramisu with green tea and lychee sake, matcha dusted on top, and it was... interesting.
